Great pub if you are all going different locations after work

Always a funny bunch of people to chat with in there
Good luck trying to get a table of you get there too late though
Nice pub just down behind East Croydon station. It's pretty big on the inside with lots of seating and tables. Pretty sunny on a Sunday afternoon. The food and beers are pretty standard for a pub but they do have some nicer beers like Shipyard.
Hidden pub next to East Croydon train station which is less than a minute walk away from the station. One which I will be going to again as there is many tables and chairs inside to sit over 50 people and then there is two outside areas.
Inside there are tables that can sit about 2 - 10 people, so this is a great place to go as a couple or take a group of friends.
The prices are pretty reasonable and currently there is a special deal with purchasing 2/3 courses during Monday to Friday 12 to 5! The staff are very friendly!
There is a wide selection of flavoured vodka's by Absolute which the following went well with these mixers:
Mandarin flavoured vodka with lemonade
Blueberry flavoured vodka with lemonade
Vanilla flavoured vodka with cola
We didn't get to try out the food but the selection of food was above your typical pub food like sandwiches, jacket potatoes, burgers, hot dogs, steak, curry etc. From prices ranging from £1 to £9.50.
I enjoy the Porter and Sorter. It is located right next to the East Croydon train station and it is easy to get to. The bar staff has always been nice and friendly and they take an interest in getting to know you. The pub is pretty big and there are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your drinks. Definitely worth a visit when in East Croydon!
I organised some works Christmas drinks in this pub as it is such an easy location rigth by the station, no one could say no! We reserved a big table which no one had stolen when we got there. There was a long wait at the bar as they had given us drinsk vouchers for reserving but because each voucher had a unique 12 digit number that had to be typed in to the till manually, after 10 the barmaid got annoyed and there were still another 20 of us. Other than that, we decided to order food and got table service which was fast and efficient. Easy pub food, good standard, nice crowd of people. Good pub, nice and easy for a post-work drink
Love this pub. It's always pretty inside and they do it up for different occasions. Big shout out to Sam on the bar. Friendly service. Lovely place to drink.

Great place any day of the week. Cameron behind the bare along with the other staff offer great service. Our go to place!!!!! If you're in Croydon, definitely a place to visit.
The Porter and Sorter is a pub that goes above beyond! I was booked to perform a P!nk tribute event as part of a cancer fundraising eve…not only did the staff host an incredible eve, they painted the entire outside of the venue bright pink, changed all the lightbulbs for pink ones, the staff all dressed in pink as well as pink decor throughout the venue. Everyone had a fabulous night and all guests I brought along to the pub were made so welcome they can’t wait for the next one.
These guys don’t do things by halves, a real little gem!
We attended the kids Halloween party on Sunday and it was great fun for all, our son really enjoyed the bouncy castle and ball pit.
Congratulations to the team, who were clearly rushed off their feet but made sure everyone had a good time. The party bags were a lovely touch.
Will definitely come to future family events.
An absolutely great pub that went far beyond my expectations! The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive, especially Nathan! He recommended a perfect gin which was wonderful and not too pricey! The food was also very nice, I highly recommend! Thank you again for the fantastic service.
Really enjoyed my visit here tonight i met Morgan and Danielle who made me feel so welcome. Despite being a commuters pub I was made to feel like a local. This pub really deserves your custom. The food and drink is superb. A hidden gem as far as I'm concerned.

Great pub amazing food cooked by the chef Mikey. Amazing bar staff. Maygan recommend a great gin and tonic. Very reasonable price. Thursday nights are great got karaoke and pool table is there everyday.
The porter is an amazing environment whether it be for a quick drink after work or a Friday night out with the girls. The staff here are very welcoming especially Cameron and the food is amazing thanks to Mikey. Such a lovely place. Will obviously be back again!
