Dorset Gardens Hotel

Service was shocking went out to my mates birthday ordered food as the same time as the other party table. Our table was waiting for a hour and a half no sorry or nothing. The lady serving us was very rude and abrupt when they brought out our food the chips where not cooked and my burger was burnt and cold the lady said rudely “so what else do you want to order instead” then banged the bowl down on the table and walked of will not be returning back!

Haven't been to the Dorset Gardens Hotel bistro for years and probably won't be going again ever. Ordered a seniors roast and it was quite honestly the worst roast I've ever had. The meat was plentiful, but tasted terrible. Very dark, very tender but the flavour was so strong I'm wondering if it was beef. As for the vegetables, there they were a mushy mess completely hidden under the slices of meat, more like a stew, soaked in the horrible meat flavoured gravy. Yuk.

The security guards where fantastic! However, I am a person of colour and I went to the gambling area and for a couple of minutes I was left alone minding my friends drinks whilst they got cash out. I was asked by an older staff member if I was going to gamble I politely said that I was waiting for my friends to get cash out. After I waited for my friends return I was then asked to leave to which I politely asked what was the reason for this. One of the management staff simply responded with I was “off my face” even though the only alcoholic beverage I had consumed was one gin and tonic from the bar. Despite my composure and maintenance of equanimity I was still treated rudely by management. It was extremely disappointing of management staff towards the way I was treated. If this treatment was warranted because I was intoxicated then this would be understandable however the judgment I received was rather embarrassing. Great security but horrible management staff I would not recommend for people of colour to attend this venue as you will be judged!
