Wow! The food was incredible, you can tell the chef has a real passion for flavours, not to mention a great sense of humour. The atmosphere as soon as you enter the pub is special, one of those places you’ll remember forever. The staff are so accommodating, professional and kind. I always feel awkward in new places but settled in straight away. Worth every penny! Would highly recommend!

This is a great place to visit. We were staying in crantock and with it only a short drive away so worth the short drive. We were fortunate to sit in the main bar area which had the old pub look and feel to it. The staff were all working so hard and we're all so friendly and accommodating and all served with a smile. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Fish and chips and fish pie all got 10/10 as did the puddings. Well be back next year when we visit again. Thank you for making our last evening a great evening ❤️❤️

We stayed at a campsite close to Newquay and found this hidden gem serving excellent pub food and ate here twice during our holiday. What a stunning location and charming thatched cottage with outbuildings. Ample free parking with overflow. Very friendly and helpful staff. The reception was excellent and the service was truly great. Food and drinks are served fast and for all together at once. I ate the Tenderloin steak and was prepared exactly as asked and butter soft and at a good temperature. The chips and veggies were very tasty too. Dutchies like mayonnaise at our chips (sorry our custom) and that was brought to the table lightning fast after we asked for it. Children's plates are reasonably priced well filled and yummy too. And, then it was time fir dessert. Tastefull sticky date pudding with ice cream. Wonderful! Profitorolles for children, they licked their fingers!

Lovely pub, with plenty of space and tables outside with a small kids play area. The staff were really friendly and accommodating finding us a table on a busy Sunday evening. Serve food all day every day! Delicious steak and ale pie and beef blade with mash. Very tasty home cooking.

Beautiful 16th century inn. The staff were very friendly. My husband and I both had the Ploughman's Lunch. Generous wedges of cheddar and brie with a mixed, dressed salad, warm baguette, apple, pickled onions and caramelised onion chutney. Will definitely visit again!

Had a fantastic roast with the family, my mum loved the fish pie too. The service was excellent, everyone was so attentive and lovely. We will be back. Be aware the road to the pub is narrow and I had to reverse back up the hill 3 times.

A nice calm quite pub with a good food selection. Service was promp on arrival and we were seated quickly. The pub seemed big in size and so this meant that there is plenty of seating.

What a brilliant place. Lots of carparking spaces but very very full even on a Wednesday night. Food was great, we cleared our plates. Our server was absolutely lovely, knowledgeable, really enthusiastic about the different dishes on the menu and really funny. I think she was called Sue (lady with long blonde/white hair) nothing was too much trouble for her. Make sure you book a table as it was very busy and tables were vacated and then filled again within minutes.

Wow oh wow! The best food I have ever eaten. You will not be disappointed! Absolutely beautiful food, lots on offer + specials. My two young children, husband, mother in law, father in law and brother in law loved it too and said it was the best food they’d had in a long time. Service was fab and such a beautiful setting. You NEED to visit here, so glad we booked a table and didn’t just turn up as we wouldn’t have got in. Staff very welcoming and smiley. Lovely place.

Fancied a Sunday lunch whilst we was away on holiday in Newquay and we aren’t far from this pub, drive past it last year and looked lovely! This year we went to it and it did not disappoint. Service was fantastic, the food even better and the desserts was wonderful! Would absolutely go back! Such a quirky little pub, really traditional and cosey vibes

Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Thatched pub with decent ales on hand pump, we ate in the front bar, which is dog friendly. Alcaraz won at Wimbledon whilst we were there, which caused some celebrations in the bar.

Fantastic pub at the end of a narrow road serving excellent food and drink. Portions are generous. Busy when we visited (7.30pm on a Sunday evening) so would recommend that you book a table to prevent having to wait for one to become available. Dog friendly too (designated areas for guests with dogs as well as dog-free areas inside).

I had a roast dinner here, the beef was spot on, the roasties was ok, the veg was delicious. If my roasties was more crispy I'd rate a 5star 👊🏻😎 over all its a nice little hidden gem with great views

Fantastic food and atmosphere, the staff were really friendly. The food arrived in a very quick time. Couldn't ask for any better service. As we booked ahead when we arrived there was a bowl of water waiting for the dog too.

What a find. Great pub in tucked away position. Need to book as very busy, and offers great location and ambiance. Went for Sunday dinner and had a lovely meal which was great value for money. Definately will visit again.

We visit this place each year when in Cornwall. This year we had a party of 17 and were still accommodated. Roast dinners are exceptional. Sat in dog friendly area with lovely views. Staff friendly as usual. Definitely recommend and will continue our tradition of going every year
