Thoroughly enjoyed our visit this evening. We didn't book for a table of 3 and by the looks of how busy it was we got lucky that they had a table available. There was a little wait which was obvious when we arrived and saw how full the restaurant was so we ordered olives and bread with aioli to come as a starter. The bread was lush and the nocellara olives were wonderful. We ordered 2 dishes each and to be honest we probably should have ordered 3 each. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. My personal favourites were the chorizo in cider and the calimari. Definitely worth a visit, definitely worth picking one of everything that takes your fancy.

Food was outstanding, there was nothing authentic about the place but I love the fact it has a real local vibe about it that just serves exceptional non local cuisine accessible and desirable to all walks of life, friendly and welcoming without any air of arrogance

The Salthouse will always be our go-to at the coast! The food is always delicious, presented beautifully and amazing value for money. The menu regularly changes to reflect the seasonal ingredients they use. The atmosphere is always so friendly and the staff are fantastic, particularly Georgia, who always goes above and beyond. The best Sunday Dinner at the coast, killer cocktails (the Mark-arita a personal fave) and a consistently brilliant tapas menus. Bravo!

Well presented high quality tasty food but a long wait to get it compounded by fairly unprofessional staff who were far from attentive and only told us what was unavailable when we tried to order it!

Firstly - the food is INCREDIBLE!! What an amazing range of flavours and spices. I also got their margarita and it was really strong! Getting the cheese and bread board was essential to fill you up and held a good variety of flavours. The tapas was a nice range of fish, meat and veggie bites. I got the cod bites and it was really fishy. 4 stars cause it is expensive, would only go back for a birthday and bless, there were only 2 girls serving a lot of tables, so took a second to get our bill. They were charming and helpful with portion sizes though.

Unreal atmosphere, phenomenal food and top class service. Don’t think it’s possible to eat everything on the menu but we tried. Loved every bite. The server was very attentive and never had to wait long for another round of drinks. Pretty sure whoever has posted a poor review has either shocking taste or weren’t hugged enough as children. Either way I’m right they’re wrong. Go for the food stay for the drinks and the dogs as it’s incredibly pooch friendly.

Unreal Spanish Tapas at Salthouse. I've had a lot of Spanish food and these are some of the best dishes I've had. Prawns, meatballs, chicken wings and patatas bravas were all gorgeous and fair sized portions. Real variety of flavours so you feel very satisfied. May need to book as can get very busy. Lovely interior and great service. Highly recommend

Lots of vegan options which was great for my friend👍🏼Absolutely DELICIOUS tapas still dreaming about it today. Stunning views from the restaurant. Loved the mushrooms in particular but every dish was tasty, yummy sangria to wash it down!

We went here for drink and food last night. Firstly the location is ideal and aesthetic. And then the service was fantastic, by Georgia, Emily-Kate and Kaia. Our drinks were always getting refilled! The food was so delicious, I really recommend the beef chilli, it was to die for! Finally not to mention the gorgeous cocktails and Sangria, I need those recipes ;) Compliments to the chef!

Just enjoyed the best Sunday lunch I've had in years! The menu was limited to a few delicious sounding options, which always bodes well. The food was clearly cooked from scratch with the upmost care. All I can say is absolutely fantastic all round, great food, great service, great value. Definitely ten out of ten.

Great little tapas bar in Cullercoats. It has lovely views or over the sea. There is a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu is great, the service is polite, friendly, and attentive. The toilets were clean and tidy. We had a lovely meal out there together. I would recommend this place. The drinks are served in interesting glasses, not the boring old hi balls.

We came here on Sat night just gone after a friend recommended it, after having a dreadful breakfast, the only way was up right. We were not disappointed, the food was so good, we finished everything, We had six dishes between us, the Manchego with honey, prawns, croquettas, white bait, and aubergine tempura type thing, washed down with some very tasty Marguerites. Staff really friendly and happy to look after us, checked in to see if all was ok and were on hand if we needed anything, really liked the decor, cosy and friendly atmosphere, will defo come back of I am in the area again and would recommend it.
