Sdd Vitamin Sea

Fantastic beginning to our Easter holiday. Great meal at Vitamin Sea...oysters-amazing Thai mussels -so perfect, Harrissa beef - delicious a few #powderkeg pilsners and to finish a gorgeous gourmet amaretto coffee all all for under £20. This little restaurant is a gem. We are really impressed with the dedication of the chef to source very local produce and support local food traders to bring the best seafood to this part of Mid Devon.

Well, what can we say. We had heard good things from a lot of people and they were right. Caley and John are brilliant hosts and yes, the food is delicious. The fish chowder taster was devine and definitely left you wanting more! We had scollops for starters, of which where the best I have ever had followed by the smoked haddock in G&T batter, the batter was very light and crispy, just perfect. Our friends had the muscles. Everything was fabulous. We will be back. Thank you Caley and John for a great night, Richard and Rachel.

Had a fantastic evening at Vitamin Sea. Staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The saffron and spiced rum crab bisque was delicious and I definitely recommend the battered haddock and chips. Lovely atmosphere and the chef was really knowledgable and friendly and we had a lovely night for my partner’s birthday. Thank you!

What a delightful evening - works Xmas gathering - the food was to die for and the cocktails even better- everyone had an awesome evening - thank you Caley and Maggie and friend for making it a night to remember ❤️ I would definitely recommend this little gem whether for a gathering or a treat for your significant other!!

My husband and I both have food allergies, I have a very severe airborne allergy to bananas, and I have coeliac disease and lactose intolerance, so eating out doesn't happen very often. After a few discussions with Cales, she made us a bespoke menu with two choices although we had to be awkward and pick different things. The food was lovely, it was well cooked and adventurous which was great for both of us, I had always wanted to try soft shell crab and got my wish. The ambience was great, the restaurant and table were beautifully decorated and I can't wait to go again. Thank you so much!
