Review The Press Cafe And Bistro - Cupar

Absolutely fantastic food and service in a rainy day. A wonderful woman squeezed us in on a busy day and what a treat it was. We had haddock and chips, an amazing burger topped with haggis and a chicken and spinach garlic pizza and all of them were presented wonderfully and tasted delicious. The sticky toffee was one of the best I've eaten in 37 years, absolutely ridiculous.

Had breakfast here, food & service both outstanding. Very well priced too for the quality. Will be back next time in the area, wish you were open Sundays 😭😂

Never been here before so didnt know what to expect. Very relaxing atmosphere, casual dress, cocktails available and the food was brilliant, got steak pie(really stew n pastry) but good just the same and the haggis balls n pepper sauce amazing. A must try

First visit.....nice decor, service and starter! Main was a disappointment....flavours were a bit flat.....however it was maybe my choice that was at fault......expectation level set to high! Have been told that a menu revamp might be required. Will go back and give it another try...well worth a visit if visiting Cupar!

As a local I've wanted to come here for a long time, and finally made it this week. The food is incredible, I had the scallops to start and they were cooked perfectly, with a lovely crumbly black pudding to compliment. I followed with the prok belly which was melt in the mouth, with a gorgeous red braided cabbage. Every single person at the table finished every course! The wine and beer selection is fantastic, the staff are extremely attentive and polite, and they were very accommodating when we asked for a quiet spot for my slightly deaf grandma. All in all I was really really impressed by every event of this place and will not hesitate to come back. Thank you so much!

Excellent lunch menu. Had the BLT ciabatta served with chips and slaw. Reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. Will definitely return and try the dinner menu.

A small Bistro/cafe/restaurant which has pleasant atmosphere, good service, and tasty food. In the picture is small fish and chips with peas, eight pounds fifty. Three scoops ice-cream, five pounds fifty. A good place for lunch with a full Menu for the evening.

Stopped for coffee and cake, which was lovely. Have to recommend the homemade fudge that came with the coffee! When we asked if we could buy some, the waitress told us unfortunately no, but brought out a big plate of extra fudge for us! Great service

After coming into try the deli panini's and after hearing mixed reviews, we wanted to try it for ourselves. We were greeted by a lady who took us upstairs and we were seated promptly. She was a little blunt but maybe that was because we didn't have a reservation. Thankfully we knew one of the waiters and therefore the service was lovely. We were made aware of the specials board which all sounded great. I'd like to take a moment to say that we cannot fault the food. It was simply delicious however we found that it was rather pricey for what we were getting. My boyfriend had the mussels starter as he wasn't that hungry which was reasonably priced for the size however I was a little disappointed to find that the £19 scallops didn't particularly excite me. The portion was on the smaller size and I only received 4 scallops on the smaller side rather than the six that there was meant to be. It was more like the starter size to be perfectly honest however it was tasty. The warm fudge brownie we shared was yummy too although could of done with a longer blast in the oven. We just felt like these prices were more suited for Edinburgh or St. Andrews rather than in Cupar. (£50 for one starter, one main, one dessert all together and a bottle of house red felt on the steep side. Other than that, we were pleased with the atmosphere and the feel of the place - it seems this place has nailed its online presence but maybe need to remember it's location a little more and reflect that in it's prices :) !

Had a lovely joint anniversary meal last night with friends. We all thought the food was fantastic along with the service. I have food intolerances and they were so accommodating and made sure I was aware of what I could and couldn’t have. Defo deserves 5 stars !! We will be back

Myself and my fiance had dinner tonight for an impromptu date night and we had a great time. Food was lovely, I had the Thursday night special fish and prosecco and my fiance had the rump steak. The service was great by the lovely young blonde haired girl, food was delicious and lovely to speak to grant. Definitely recommend x

The food was excellent and the service was brilliant, they really have got it spot on. I had the scallops and steak and they were both cooked to perfection. Dessert was to die for! Go and try it - you won't regret it!
