Food is absolutely wonderful, recently went for Sunday lunch & thoroughly enjoyed it, good selection of different meats on the menu as well as a large selection of fresh vegetables, there was also quite a large selection of beers & lagers & also a selection of real ales, would definitely recommend this place.
Lovely family run pub, a hub of the community, food is amazing and beer is top notch. A lovely hidden secret for real ale lovers. Highly recommended.

Living two doors away I never thought of calling for a Sunday roast until today. Absolute legends letting me take two beef dinners home. Top marks to the chef as it was beautiful. I'll be back later for deserts.
Sunday dinner was tasty, lovely and hot well presented and plentiful. Will definatly return.
A very friendly atmosphere, great selection of Ale's, Lager, Ciders and the Menu has a selection of Home Cooked favourites.
Between 17.30 and 18.30 a two course menu board £7.95 a great early evening offer.
Sunday Lunch's are just as good, however, it is advisable to book as it is a favourite with customers returning week in week out because of the quality and price.
The Pub has a good size Car Park for easy parking, out side there is an area for customers to sit and enjoy their drink's in the Summer evening's.
All in all a very presentable little Pub to visit.
10/10 guys, lovely staff, beautiful food perhaps the nicest curry I’ve ever had, very fair price. Will visit again 100% I’ve seen a few reviews popping up about this place after its very respectable refurb, so after a walk along the fourteen locks we went just to check it out. Not many tables though so if it’s towards the weekend possibly reserve a table
Beautiful Sunday roast here today. Lamb and beef both stunning and plenty of meat and fresh veg. Will definitely return. Loads of tasty gravy and huge Yorkshire puddings!
Wow! We came here for burger night after the food had been recommended. This is a lovely pub which has been recently refurbished and is really clean and modern. The food was absolutely beautiful. We came for burger night and had the JD burger with loaded fries… 10/10. We will definitely be returning!
The best Sunday lunch for miles. The food is hot, fresh and tasty. Jack and Jasmine have done an amazing job turning this pub around. Quiz night is fun and it has a wonderful atmosphere.
Sunday lunch was 10/10. It was stunning. Our table had the beef and pork. The gravy, the cauliflower cheese and the vegetables were beautiful. My photo doesn’t do it justice. The presentation was spot on. And it was all washed down with a couple of pints of cask ale 🍻
Wouldn’t go anywhere else for Sunday lunch , by far the best we have ever had ( and we eat out a lot ) can also recommend the steak and ale pie on pie night .

Jack, family, and team have done an excellent job in refreshing the pub since taking over in 2022, it is welcoming, comfortable, and clean. Wide selection of beers, ciders (including 4x Thatchers), and spirits featuring popular brands. TVs at both ends of the bar play all the football, etc. Sunday is Roast Dinner (booking in advance highly recommended), Monday is Curry & Pint, Tuesday is Pie & Pint. All food is well priced and high quality, it is worth trying it all, highlights include the triple cooked chips and the pies which have just the right balance of meat, sauce, and pastry. Often live entertainment such as singers on a Friday, and special events such as the recent Easter picnic basket and Mother’s Day meals. The pub is run by a local family so support a local business and the local community by supporting this great establishment!
It's a lovely little pub which has just been done up by the looks of things with an absolutely stunning Sunday lunch I would highly recommend it.
Went to the mount pleasant on Sunday for a cooked dinner and was extremely impressed with both the service and meal.
Our waitress was extremely busy and despite this, made sure we were taken care of and never went without, serving with a constant smile.
My family and I didn't have to wait long for food at all. The starter was delicious (leek and potato soup), which was followed by a beef dinner, cooked to perfection and roast potatoes that makes you wish you could have a gigantic bowl to yourself.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and for the price you can't go wrong. Don't take my word for it check it out for yourself .
