A well established business and one of the few places to go for a proper cooked dinner. They use fresh vegetables. We love the corned beef pie. The decor is dated as are the toilets. Sometimes it is too hot and airless but there is some seating outside. Staff obliging.
Prices reasonable. The small breakfast is great.
I go here frequently. The foods great, the staff are lovely and very accommodating
We had a delivery only waited 30 mins it was still hot and loads of it , this is the only place I’ve been to that actually cooks there vegetables the cabbage was so nice it was cooked to perfection all of it was I won’t be going anywhere else for Sunday lunch 😊👍
My sister and I had a turkey dinner delicious 😋 It was like having a Xmas dinner
Popular place, lunch time, place was packed, fantastic food, big portions delicious. Long wait as it was very busy, but worth the wait, we watched many meals being served and all looked delicious, I had home cooked beef pie with veg - - - gosh I couldn't eat it all, enough mash potatoes for two!! thoroughly enjoyed and will be back soon.

The staff in this restaurant are always very friendly and the food is very nice aswell. Been coming in here since we was kids and know our family comes here too.

Great roast beef and turkey dinners in authentic early New Town atmosphere. My wife recalls visiting same place with her Grandfather 50 years ago - she said it hadn't changed. But that is a good thing! Great visit.
