A well established business and one of the few places to go for a proper cooked dinner. They use fresh vegetables. We love the corned beef pie. The decor is dated as are the toilets. Sometimes it is too hot and airless but there is some seating outside. Staff obliging. Prices reasonable. The small breakfast is great.

Popular place, lunch time, place was packed, fantastic food, big portions delicious. Long wait as it was very busy, but worth the wait, we watched many meals being served and all looked delicious, I had home cooked beef pie with veg - - - gosh I couldn't eat it all, enough mash potatoes for two!! thoroughly enjoyed and will be back soon.

Great roast beef and turkey dinners in authentic early New Town atmosphere. My wife recalls visiting same place with her Grandfather 50 years ago - she said it hadn't changed. But that is a good thing! Great visit.
