Had a family get together tonight just for the fun of it. Were seated immediately and orders for food taken promptly, after deciding what we wanted. When served, food was well presented and tasted fantastic and portions were good too. Staff were polite and friendly, a good night had by all. Slight criticism the dessert was a little late in arriving, that said, the evening was very pleasant and we will definitely be back. πππππ
Went for a biking trip with the lads. We stayed in what I would describe as the loft area. The beds were comfy. The shower was poor but we mentioned that as we left and they said they would have someone look at it. We ate there both nights we stayed and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and excellent all round. Would happily go back. The mountain bike trails were accessed straight from the bottom of the hotel grounds.
What a venue!
We ran a mountain bike conference from the centre. The staff were very helpful, teas and coffees throughout the day.
Their new conference room is great. Great TV, 10+ seats and amazing views of the valley. There is also an option of accommodation too!

Went to Afan lodge twice in a week during our stay over the road - once with just the wife and once with the whole family (6 children, 4 adults). Both times were great. Really attentive staff, who did everything to make our experience top notch, and really great food. A bit of a hidden gem that we only came across as we were staying over the road in an Air BandB. Would highly recommend - their grill night on a Wednesday was particularly good value for great steak and wine.
Stopped for a snack while on a walk. Both my wife and I had a sandwich and drink. Food was tasty and fresh. Staff were excellent and polite. Recently refurbished the Lodge was clean and located with great views of the Afan valley. Only grumble was that it was a warm sunny day but the outside tables didn't have any umbrellas so had to sit inside as it got to hot to eat.
The rooms are very spacious and clean with excellent facilities. All the staff were friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating for me with secure storage for my bike as well. They have a new chef and all the food was excellent, I honestly don't think I have had better in a hotel stay before! Great location for the views and easy access to the M4 to get me all across South Wales for work and then the cycle trails for me to get out after work with direct access to trails from back of hotel and within 1 mile of Afan forest park
The food is just amazing. I never eat so well in pub and I have to say I very picky when it comes to food. The portions are big and everything is well made. Staff is amazing. 5/5 service. Highly recommended.
Amazing food. We ordered far too much as there was so many great options. Ended up taking a doggy bag home as the food here is too good to waste. Brilliant staff who were attentive and professional.
