I love the fish from here. Is always cooked fresh to order. I like to sit in has a retro feel about it. Prices have increased since my last visit. But is still defo worth checking out!

Excellent food with generous portions. My mum was visiting from Canada and wanted an authentic fish and chips which I knew they could deliver. There are a variety of options and I have never been disappointed. I will always recommend this place.
Love got to the golden fish bar been going here for nearly 40 years the staff are very very friendly helpful and lovely
The staff are polite and accommodating. The food in today's climate is value for money. I would recommend visiting this place.
Just got fish an chips twice an I must say it was nowhere near as nice as it Usually it the fish tasted like oil needed changing quite disappointed to be honest ...
My Mother In Law wanted "Cod Roe & Chips" When I asked for it I was told 5-7mins to cook so the wait was on !
The staff were happy and always cleaning,chatting to the other customers and Generally making it a Very nice place to eat ! My only criticism is that the Restaurant Area could do with a bit of Modification to bring it up to more Modern Design as it seems to be stuck in the 80's when I first started eating there ! But the food is always very good. I would definitely recommend that you try them ! 😉.

I’ve been here a few times when I’m in the area, always great service and food, plus you can eat in which definitely gets my vote.
Definitely the best fish and chips around. Ordered 4 cod and a large and small chips, everyone loved it and it all went! Delicious. Friendly helpful staff too!

Had takeaway for 4 people. Fish was all cooked fresh for me and the chips were freshly cooked.
However, the new parking regulations will make customers reluctant to visit this take away/restaurant as you will have to pay if more than 10 mins.
Obviously it's the same for all the other small business in that area. They will all lose trade.
