Great to hear that they've reopened for take-out, took a few minutes to get our order in but food was great.
Had a lovely Thai green curry, a cajun chicken burger and nachos to share. Looking forward to the next time :)
Lovely meal, beautifully presented and staff were really nice.
Excellent meal and service! Really extensive menu, huge portions and very tasty. Husband had the beef sizzle and I had the jerk chicken. Both were delicious. Both finished with the homemade lemon meringue pie which was yummy and came with both cream and ice cream! Very friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely call again when passing!
First visit today for lunch and will definately be back food was lovely !
My wife and i popped in today for lunch. The food was excellent. The prices are more than reasonable considering the top quality being served. Staff were very friendly and the service was pretty quick too. Will definitely be returning.
First class service the young lady was really polite and welcoming. For being a small village pub the food and presentation was 5 star. Recommend a visit by far the best meal I've had in a pub in years. Beats all the big guns by miles. As a ex publican well done, fantastic i will return and recommend your establishment. 👌👍
The best tasting and value takeaway option for us in the area. The Thai food is particularly great!
The meals we ordered were the best I’ve ever tasted. I recommend this place 100%.
I went back to this Beautiful Restaurant first time in 10 months. The meals are still superb and the menu is well and varied. I had the Navarin of Lamb for my my main meal and my Mother had the Senior Citizens menu of Battered Haddock it is just a smaller portion which is ideal for her. Our starters were Prawn and Crab spring rolls with a salad and a beautiful light zingy dressing, the other was Duck Spring rolls both of them had an exquisite plum sauce for dipping.
They have a lot of different ideas and have good offers on the meals.
I can still not praise them highly enough for the staff and the presentation.
Excellent service. Good menu range. Good portion size and it tastes good too. Discovered here about 7 years ago and keep going back when we visited St. Andrews
Wè had a table for 10 booked and the speed and service was excellent, first class food which everyone was happy with, everything was nice and hot.
A great example of how a pub with a restaurant should be run.
Not been yet? Get yourself booked in.
Don't judge a book by its cover.Rumblethumps food is first class. I enjoyed every bite of my meal. The staff were really nice as well. Top food top service would recommend for anyone who appreciates good food.
Had a take away meal from here last night, great value and food was fantastic. Portions are massive but excellent for sharing.
Great meal great location so easy to find prices match quality of the food. Staff well turned out and attentive. Will honestly say will return.
Plenty of parking at the rear.
The food is excellent beautifully presented could compete with any 5 star restaurant. Third time we have been there and will definitely be back.
We had a great meal here. Some fantastic Thai dishes as well as traditional pub fare. All served up efficiently and by friendly staff.
A snowy Spring Sunday lunchtime saw us welcomed at Rumbledethumps situated in the Dairsie Inn in Fife. We were seated in the tastefully done out restaurant, and being early, had the place to ourselves for a while.
My partner had been there before and was singing its praises, so we just had to go. I’m so glad we did.
There is an extensive menu which offers traditional fair and dishes with an oriental flavour as well. I chose the deep-fried breaded brie with an apple and cranberry sauce. The brie was nothing like the type you get from the supermarket, but came in a light crisp batter. The sauce was just the right amount for the three portions of cheese, and was a lovely combination of the fruits. My partner had the chicken goujons with a mayonnaise and chive accompaniment. The side salad, served with both, was dressed with light, fresh honey and mustard. The carving of the carrot, cucumber and tomato told me that somebody in the kitchen had been well trained.
We opted for the main menu rather than the Senior Citizen’s one, partly because we are in denial and partly because we were hungry. I had the steak in ale pie, and my partner had the navarin of lamb. In both cases the meat was done to perfection, slow-cooked and melting in the mouth. The vegetables were carrots and neeps and twice-fried chips. Everything was piping hot and the chips had that wonderful crunch and softness that only well-cooked ones acquire. It was a good job the windows were closed and kept the biting wind out or I would have been worried that my light-as-a-feather puff pastry would have blown away.
We didn’t op for a desert as we were both full but we rounded the meal off with a delicious cup of black coffee. I even took some chips home in a doggie bag. Well, who wouldn’t?
Next time we go I might even try the Senior Citizens menu as it should allow me room for a desert.
