We moved to Darlington 8 years ago and failed to find even a half decent fish&chip shop so we travel now and again all the way to Seaton Carew to the almighty cod . Being a barney girl , after hearing who owned this new fish&chip shop I had to try it. Well , you have changed my mind! Finally darlington has not just a good but an outstanding fish and chip shop and we certainly wont need to travel to Seaton Carew when we fancy fish&chips!
The chips are just perfect, the sausage actually tasted of something unlike most you get in fish&chip shops and was beautifully cooked, the fish was the very best we have tasted...ever! The kids chicken nuggets looked lovely too! Any bad points? I prefer chip shop curry at a chip shop as opposed to chinese...it was very yummy though!! My husband is sulking because you dont do battered marsbars!
The service was excellent, lovely staff, even the leaflet menu reflected the standard of food that was about to be served, shop very clean and no stinky old oil smell either!
I could sing your praises all day long but my diet isnt so happy this is just going to be way too tempting!

We wouldn’t go anywhere else for Fish and Chips in Darlington! Simply the best. Great quality food, the portions are excellent and the place is spotless.
Love the unique design on the boxes and the bag you get your food in, great individual touch.
Was like been at the seaside yesterday. Your fish n chips are lush..lovely big fat chips.the cod realy fresh with the most gorg crispy batter .and large portion too ..well worth the price.. �

Just had my first of many visits to the new shop. Was a slight wait for my order but expected with being so busy. Was defiantly worth the wait,very good food and not coated in grease. Definitely worth a try! �
We love our fish and chips from Yarm Road. Nice crispy batter, beautiful white fish and proper chips. The staff are great as well.

Living round the corner i remember when popeyes used to be where you are!! I love your food its lovely!! Abit pricey but well worth it! Only downside is the curry sauce isnt that nice.. thats just personal preferance though so 5 stars from me... friendly staff and free lollies for the kids :-)

I love this place! I have eaten here probably more than I should! Each time has been delicious and the staff very friendly. So much so, tomorrow we will be ordering for our whole office - about 9 of us! Can't wait! X

Whenever I'm in darlington, I visit this fish shop- best in the area in my opinion! Freshly cooked and great quality, plus the staff are so lovely. Expect a little wait, but way worth it, trust me. I believe you can pre order if you're in a rush 🙌

It’s always busy, but that’s the sign of a great fish and chip shop.
I’m in the queue if the food smells good , and they have a constant queue of customers, and it is rare they are quiet.
If we’re not at the coast for our fish and chips, then we go here. 👍🏻👍🏻😋😋
Food is always piping hot, fish always fresh and tasty.. and the customer service is spot on !! 5 stars all around… our local fish shop and wouldn’t go anywhere else ! Best in the town
Amazing food and Great service. Good menu choice. Couldn't get any better! Our regular chippy - haven't yet found a place to top it. 110% recommend. Always fresh food so you may need to wait in busy periods but can't order ahead online or on the phone
Fabulous fish and chips every time, on line order service is excellent, staff are always pleasant and polite... young lad who works on a Friday is exceptional you always feel your service from him is personal. Definitely the place to go in Darlington for fish and chips
Been a few years since I last called here .. but decided to call in as I was passing ..
staff so welcoming and happy smiles on there faces .. 5 star service ..
chips crispy and nicely cooked .. not soggy like in sone places .. batter on fish crispy and nice to taste .. but fish was slightly undercooked.. another couple of minutes would of been perfect .. still enjoyed and will be back ..
We use this chippy on a regular basis, why? great service and products with a lot of choice ,either phone your order in and it will be there to collect the fryers are proud in what they serve to you, you'll alway get a pleasant reception from the counter staff ,I would highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed. 💯👌
Fabulous tasty fish and chips,, lovely crisp batter. I always have it with curry sauce which is delicious, but my sister tells me the mushy peas are the best!
Always great food and a very friendly welcome from all the staff especially Lisa, I've been getting my lunchtime special from here for years....

Honestly one of the best chip shops in Darlo, it's lovely, fresh, tastes amazing and the staff are really friendly - i would eat here weekly if i could - The shop upgrade is also lovely
The best fish and chips within a few miles however... ordered large fish and chips, drive 15 mins home.. no chips... drove back. New fish and chips. Check your orders! Also best tatar suace and curry sauce.
We come here on a weekly basis and get fantastic service every time by Ellie & the team every time and the food is always perfect! Would 100% recommend
