The Britannia Inn - Darlington - Photo album

Love the Britannia. It’s a proper old fashioned boozer. It’s immaculately clean and Wendy the land lady is always welcoming.
One of my favourite pubs in Darlington. Great choice of real ales. Great staff.
Great pub brill staff
Great place friendly lovely atmosphere
Great beers and fantastic staff. A lovely warm fire on the go so you can listen to the live music in comfort. A fabulous traditional old snug used by folk singers and domino players, private parties and rehearsals. It's worth a visit.
Terrific traditional pub. No fancy trendy nonsense. Just a small selection of the headline beers and a couple of visitor ales at reasonable. And instead of gastro nonsense just crisps and peanuts. Good company. And on the colder days a good wood fire. Dog friendly. Excellent. Do not tell anyone.
Stayed a few times with work. Rooms are great. One occasion my TV remote didn't work and the heating didn't work. Provisions were promptly delivered but overall would return. Breakfast buffet is good!
Very good pint of Bass; quite rare these days, having formerly been a 'regular standby'; on Xmas eve was supposed to shut at 9pm but stayed open until 11pm because there were still customers who wanted more beer; isn't this what pubs are for?
A diverse & welcoming Inn, with a large outdoor seating area, real ales & live music, situated in the heart of Darlington. This local gem is steeped in history, being the birthplace of J M Dent, founder of The Everyman's Library. He produced high quality literary classics for the people.
Good atmosphere, good choice of drinks and reasonable prices, and free live entertainment.
Fantastic pub with great real ale beers, as well as friendly and hospitable staff and owners. Love it ❤❤
