The Wharf

Really lovely location. Staff were really nice. We went for lunch here and took our dog. Food was fine. Nothing special but was OK. Had a lovely walk around the lake and grounds . Nice comfortable atmosphere. We sat in the bar area but I would imagine the outside seating area in the summer is amazing with the lovely views. Will be back.

The atmosphere was good, really nice pub. I found the service a bit slow. They had our orders in advance and the pub was not full and I expected the order to arrive a bit quicker. The coconut cheesecake was lovely but the chicken skewers were a disappointment. Hardly any chicken, the chips soaked in the sauce. Maybe it was just a bad choice for me and others like it like this but I would definitely choose something else next time.

Had a lovely time here with a friend of mine. We ordered a few small plates and share like tapas, everything was super tasty. Had some desserts too, the apple crumble was huge, should state it's good for sharing although it really should come with more custard! We were sitting outside, view for the lake is lovely.

Hi back again this time was again after shopping we decided to comeback to this place after couple years and have late afternoon meal and I have seen on menu they serving swordfish filet I decided to order but they told me they run out of this dish I have to order something else and I order chicken skewers with pitta bread and some salad chicken was cooked perfectly lovely taste well seasoned and vas delicious little bit I have been disappointed they cook chicken on grill and can't cook pitta bread on flame too this makes me disappointed bread lost is taste . Salad us usually and everywhere else fresh crispy and delicious with bit of lemon juice on top . Atmosphere nice everything looks clean it was little bit busy little bit noisy day time it would be better you have lovely view to lake . Plenty parking space available. Service was friendly and smooth dishes come quickly don't need to wait for to long. Prices like evewhere else not to high and if you sign for your birthday every year they will send you voucher for 1 free meel when you buy other one ( this voucheryoubcan use not only for this place is so many to choose) . Thanks to all staff. Do I come back definitely I will come back . Do I recommend oh yes I do recommend visit this place during day time or evening any time you like . What a lovely pub. Stunning location overlooking the lake, which had a family of swans as well as other waterfowl. The food was incredible, tasty, good value for money. Service was great, staff were friendly and attentive. A real hidden gem, we sat outside and could just see the QE2 bridge but you wouldn't know you were so close to a motorway as there wasn't any traffic noise. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my visits to this pub but food isn't great. It's a beautiful building next to the lake, loads of heated outdoor seating. The staff are fantastic and really friendly, there's a decent selection of wine including a good English wine. Food is average, the salmon tortellini was decent but the chicken burger was fairly poor (fairly dry burger with too much coating in a dry bun), chips were decent though. We've visited a few times but will stick to just drinks in future. Last orders for food are 8pm!
