Artisan Cafe & Wine Bar

The family and I visited the Artisan cafe for a drink following a walk on the moors. . The cafe boasts a convenient location in Darwen town centre, a great selection of drinks, and stylish decor. Service was great thanks to a friendly host, however the cafe itself was very quiet but it was a Sunday so this is likely to be the reason. . Definitely return when walking in and around the Darwen moors.

Birthday meal for myself with family. Booked online, received email and text with confirmation. Seated straight away at the rear of the building, order taken quickly, drinks arrived. Quite a wait for food but kept updated by staff which made the wait not unpleasant. Two courses for 11.95 roast dinners which were lovely and plentiful. Veg on plates and extra cauliflower and broccoli cheese on separate serving dish. Yorkshire puddings were delicious and the smell drifting from the kitchen was too. Thank you for a lovely evening .

We came across this place by chance, we were on our way to the kettle kitchen for some lunch but when we got there we were told there was no electricity so we left and saw artisan. The staff were very friendly and who I pressume is the owner was superb he was very chatty (in a nice way) and catered to all our needs, within 5 minutes of sitting down we had both hot and cold drinks. I had the fish and chips while my partner has the open steak sandwich, both were excellently presented and tasted even better. My personal favourite and the main reason I will be returning is the wide selection of tea. The only problem was the freezing cold bathroom.
