We had the best day ever at Coltsfoot for our wedding! It is such a beautiful venue set in the middle of the countryside and has a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The whole team were amazing, especially Emma who helped us to plan all the details and ensured the day itself ran like clockwork. We were particularly thankful for how relaxed the team were with us setting up the day beforehand and allowing us to personalise the day to make it our own. Coltsfoot was perfect and we are very grateful to the team for everything!

Visited this venue for the first time. Our client had booked us for their evening reception party! The staff are friendly and attentive, and it's got ample parking for your guests as well. Hopefully, in the near future, we can do more events at the venue.

We got married at Coltsfoot Country Retreat in October 2023. They were absolutely fantasic. The venue looked stunning and Jenny, Ruth, and Emma went above and beyond for us. No job was too much hassle. The food was fantastic and we had loads of compliments on it from the guests. The team kept us up to date with everything from the time we first showed an interest in the venue. They were very quick at answering emails and questions. We had three agenda meetings leading up to the wedding, and we were given an extensive check list to make sure we had thought about everything, which made the whole process less stressful. On the day of the wedding, they made sure everything ran smoothly and tried to keep it as stress-free as possible for us. The rooms were lovely as well and the breakfast next day was delicious! 10/10, the staff were amazing, I can't praise them enough!!! Thank you guys :)

I photographed Abbey and Charlies beautiful wedding day at Coltsfoot Country Retreat. I can highly recommended it, and look out for the great Llama farm at the back of the barn! Pretty unique to find a wedding venue with Llamas on site. The aesthetic of the barn is really great and makes for excellent photos. All the staff are very friendly and go over and beyond! We got married here in September 2023, and I couldn't have wished for a better place. The team were so supportive of anything we wanted. We wanted a Hindu-style ceremony and prayer, and the team just went with it! I can't say thank you enough to Coltsfoot. We had around 60 guests, and it felt like a large family gathering. Guests loved the food and the accommodations are 5 stars.

The most perfect place for a wedding, the venue, accommodation, food and staff. I really don't think you could find better.

Coltsfoot Country Retreat, near Datchworth in Hertfordshire is a perfect wedding venue. We were there for my daughter’s wedding in April 2023. Following a year’s preparation we had an absolutely fabulous day. The weather was kind to us and we even enjoyed some sunshine which the forecasters had only hinted at. The management were helpful at every stage and on the day of the event everything came together perfectly. The meal was delicious and served to us in a timely and professionally. In the evening we had hired Mr H, Coltfoots resident DJ who gave us a magnificent evening that I can only describe as a blast to be remembered. All our guests had a wonderful time. I recommend Coltsfoot Country Retreat as a number 1 venue for any forthcoming wedding.

Had our wedding at Coltsfoot on the bank holiday Sunday. So glad we chose there to get married! The venue was amazing on the day. Everyone loved their food, setting and the rooms. Lots of comments from guests of how great the venue looked. Staff were also very helpful during the entire planning process and on the day itself. Especially Jessica. The new huts, breakfast bar and amendments to the main room was great! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a venue to get married at.

Ever since our first viewing of this venue, we knew this was definitely the place for us! It is such an intimate and beautiful space, full of beautiful greenery and surrounding fields. The suites were absolutely stunning and our guests were blown away by them. The food was outstanding, big portions too. To coincide with our Greek themed wedding, we asked the venue about a potential evening Greek BBQ. The team were on board straight away and it seemed like nothing was ever too difficult to arrange. This BBQ was insane, our guests are still raving about it! Halloumi, pitta, feta salads, dips, sausages, meat skewers, olives, tzaziki - the works!! A huge THANK YOU to the whole team, especially Jess and Emma! You were all amazing, we’ll never forget it.

We got married at Coltsfoot on the 1st July 2023 and we cannot fault the venue! In the run up to the day, the whole team were amazing, super helpful, and responsive. We cannot recommend Coltsfoot enough! The venue is stunning and secluded. The outdoor areas and the barn are beautiful, and the individual guest rooms are spacious and fantastic. We stayed in The Don and it was lovely to have our own little area to relax after the best day. On the day, Niamh and Emma couldn't have done more for us (even leaving wedding cake and a pizza in our room for us for the end of the night so we didn't miss out on trying them!!). Nothing was ever too much and they were instrumental in the smooth running of the day! The food was amazing and got so many compliments from our guests. All dietary requirements were catered for and our guests were left very happy and very full! We had an amazing ceremony and reception. The bar staff were attentive and ensured the drinks were flowing, always with a smile! Also, the breakfast area for the morning after was fab for getting together with your guests to reminisce. All we can say is a massive thank you to the Coltsfoot team and would encourage anyone who is looking for somewhere to get married to put Coltsfoot at the top of your list for venue options!
