Delicious food, great team, very friendly and welcoming, and a lovely homely atmosphere. A nice variety of local ales too. A must-visit!

Great people running the pub. Very interesting and informative dialogue. Beer very good. Didn't eat but the Sunday lunch with home made Yorkshire puddings looked fantastic. Had an evening meal . Food very good.

Went to dent for a day out walking. Luckily we found the George and dragon. Pub was very lively, great service and good atmosphere. Also had food which was top quality and very nourishing. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic food. Staff extremely helpful. Nice to see the young staff making a special effort.

Lovely little village pub, excellent rotating selection of local ales and beers and friendly staff. What more do you need…

Lovely welcoming bar staff. We visited local pods, and came here for drinks, couple games of pool, then a takeout evening meal. Really lovely with our little dog, providing a refreshment for him too! Food was lovely, pizza and salt and pepper chicken with proper chips. Great value for money. 100% recommend.

Been here twice. First dinner was amazing. Delicious. Great chips! Second time they must have been short staffed as food took ages to come and be cleared away. Good value for money.

Jolly barman and a nice pint in a cozy pub.

In keeping with the character of Dent itself, the George & Dragon is a charming old pub in the cobble-stoned centre of the village. The food is great and the varied beer selection is much appreciated at the end of a long day of walking the Dales Way. So too is the cosy and very clean accommodation to rest and recover before another day of long walking. Most impressive though was the level of customer service we experienced. The owners went above and beyond to help us when we encountered logistical difficulties on our longest day of walking and ensure we could complete our walk on time. They truly embody the community feel of Dent and make all visitors feel warmly welcomed, particularly those tired and weary walkers!

We received a warm welcome here last Sunday lunchtime. The Dent Golden Fleece struggled to hold a head, this ale also lacks body. We had a good Sunday roast dinner here, one beef and one pork, good value for money. All the staff were wonderful.
