The Skylark is a Denver tradition dating back as far as I can remember acting as an incubator for new talent and a secret spot for national acts.
The Skylark was handed off to the next generation of locals in 2021 but remains a neighborhood venue serving Denver's Baker neighborhood.
In the age of corporate chain bars this place bucks the trend and keeps your money in Denver supporting locals. Cheers!

Just my favorite all around place. Good pool community w a winner-plays-next kind of house rule on the busier nights, and a good number of good players showing up in the daytime off hours. Friendly community. Always have some kinda old campy horror movie playing on a projector without audio - it’s lovely. Music, though I’ve yet to go to an actual concert upstairs.

Had to check out Nathaniel Rateliff's place here in Denver. They have live music every night which was a nice addition. The night we visited also had haraoke.

I've been going to this place for almost 30 years. It has changed since the owner retired and new people bought the business. For the most part, it looks the same. But they have a lot more bands upstairs. Before, bands used to be downstairs. I've not been there now to know if that ever happens now. Either way, it feels the Vintage Way which is cool.

I like this place ….. lots of variety as far as shows… I keep coming back ….you gotta go the Bobcat room upstairs for a band…. Great bar, mural, flooring…..just feels good!!!
