The Cross Keys is a fantastic local pub. The landlord, Ian Darlington, has created a very welcoming atmosphere for all who visit the pub and has a great range of guest real ales from all over the country regularly make an appearance. There is also a brilliant food menu which has everything from pizzas and burgers, to warming stew, soups, ploughman's board and sandwiches. The garden outside attracts the sunshine for most of the day and it is a great place to end a long walk with the dog as it has won a local award as the dog friendliest pub in the area. If anyone hasn't already been then it's well worth a visit.

Came here for a light lunch for the first time today, great pub, atmosphere, service, selection of beers etc, had the Panini / toasties with homemade chips and slaw, can't fault anything, chips are amazing, no taste of oil just lovely chips, paninis are very tasty as was the slaw. Well done we will be backπŸ˜‹πŸ˜

We've walked over to Ockbrook a few times now on a Sunday to enjoy their roast beef and roast pork cobs, with the best roasties ever, fab gravy, horseradish and stuffing! Such great value, and an outdoor setting that is child and dog friendly! Staff absolutely lovely, good selection of drinks and will definitely be a regular Sunday visit for us :) Thankyou to all the team at Cross Keys!

Visited today with a couple of friends and our daughter, the weather was nice so sat outside in the beer garden, small, quaint but lovely little space. Was served promptly and have a nice selection of beers and real ales on offer, service was prompt and not expensive. We came for the pizza after seeing the signs countless times whilst driving past, we wasn't disappointed, nice sized rustic thin base pizzas full of flavour, we all finished off every last crumb. Overall, great small villiage pub with lovely food and drinks, would definitely visit again and recommend.

Absolutely love this pub. It is 1000% the place to be! Great alcohol selection, super friendly bar staff, love the fact dogs are welcome! The food is fantastic, proper home made pizza's that taste UNREAL. This is my local pub, I live behind it and I am very glad. All the other local punters who go to the pub are lovely. Shout out to Ian though - best landlord ever! If you havent tried the cross keys, do it. You wont regret it!

The best local old English pub you can visit. I don't want to recommend as we like it just as busy as it is. Spot on, Ian and his team really care about their customers plus they have the best Pizza and good beers on offer!

Small but well kept selection of ale, delicious home made pizzas. If you haven't been for a while, the refit is unobtrusive, and has made a logical use of both summer and winter usage. I met the landlords when they first reopened the pub, who wanted to increase the patronage yet maintain the community feel. I think they've done it. By the way if your four legged friends are not welcome up the road them come here!

The thing I love about this place, and I've only been once... The owner is obviously passionate about his food and service. The burgers are amazing, can't wait to go back ofr a pizza. My dog was allowed on the beer garden too and all the staff were great

Good atmosphere, busy for a Monday evening, which was nice to see. Menu is pizza or pizza but it is lovely. Worth a visit. Dogs welcome with doggy treats available.
