It was a pretty good buffet. Chinese, Indian and a mixture of Occidental cuisine. As far as buffet goes, it tasted better than I anticipated. We booked the dinner option and started our meal at 7.45, and I managed to have a taste of most of it before the buffet closed at 9 pm. The dessert options were varied and interesting. I would have loved a bit of an addition of Greek and Turkish food to the mix; baklava and ice cream would have been a perfect finish. The cocktails were a tad disappointing in size and alcohol measures (but that's probably just me). There is an option of bottomless fizzy drinks, but if you ask me, better stick to flat drinks if you want to refill on the food.
The service was decent and fast-paced, and they managed to remain cordial and professional despite the tight schedule they worked on. The place was kept clean, and the staff cleaned as customers came and went.
It's a place I would definitely return to, especially for a large party. Make sure to book slots before turning up and to read the T&Cs.
Great atmosphere for family gathering and celebrations.
All the staff are really friendly and helpful.
The food is quite good. Hope they can add more Japanese food such as salmon sushi.
Nice variety of food and friendly staff- very reasonably priced for the amount you get. Quantity is definitely higher valued than quality but all still tasty although pudding section seemed quite cheap and could be improved
Was really impressed with the cleanliness of the place and the quality of the food. There's just a small choice of pizza- margarita or pepperoni- but they were made freshly with hand-stretched dough and tasted great. There was also a fantastic Thai red vegetable curry with tofu pieces which tasted great. It tasted fresh with lots of fresh veg. I was definitely impressed because I thought it would be a wide choice of oven-ready food, but I was pleasantly surprised with the freshly prepared options. I have already recommended to family and friends.
It was a good place to be but for some one with a disability, I couldn't explore much, so as not to slip
Not been for a while but top marks. It's had a bit of a makeover recently and it has made it so much better.
Food choices and quality has improved also terrific Chinese and puddings.
Top marks to the waiters they were on it like car bonnets every time I finished a plate load!
We've visited the Nottingham COSMO many times but the first time we've been to the Derby one. We were surprised to have to pay for food and drinks on the way in but were happy to be able to use a blue light discount card.
The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the resteraunt was clean and well organised.
It was a lovely meal out with a great selection of different foods from different parts of the world all still fresh and hot even though you help yourself to what you fancy.
The teppanyaki area was great and the pudding selection was fantastic.
A great meal out.
Lovely and spacious buffet restaurant with all you can eat, meals from various counties. It was really nice and lovely. The space was picturesque but the lighting a bill full. It’s best you make reservations before going and stick to your time slot as there tends to be a lot of people coming to the restaurant. Overall a good place to visit for singles and families.

I have visited Cosmo on a number of occasions. For those unfamiliar with the restaurant it offers a range of foods covering many countries on an all you can eat basis.
On this visit I went with my wife for dinner.
The restaurant booking can be done easily via the website and when turning up you are taken to a cashier who takes payment for the number of people booked and drinks. We opted for bottomless soft drinks which means you get empty glasses initially which you fill limitless number of times at a point which has several different soft drinks available on tap.
Someone takes you to a table and you are free to eat and drink as much as you want.
The majority of the food is oriental but there is a range of Indian food plus cuisine from some other countries. We found most of the food to be lovely but occasionally you may come across items not so good. My wife tried pizza and pasta with cheese sauce. The pizza was tough as it had obviously been standing too long and apparently the cheese sauce didn’t have any cheese flavour.
When you finish a plate of food the plate is quickly cleared from your table allowing you to get a clean plate and more food.
Eventually when your stomach says “no more” you can leave without waiting to pay a bill as that’s already done.
The price has increased considerably since I last went but that was pre-COVID as it was forced to close for a long period. Nevertheless it’s still good fun and good value. Recommend you try it.
Arrived at opening time 5pm.
All the food was cooked fresh.
The teppanyaki station is amazing.
£18.50 all you can eat
£3.75 for bottomless soft drinks.
It gets busy in the first 1/2 hour of opening so
there is a good turnover of fresh food.
The staff are friendly and clear plates in good time.
An easy 5 star review and perfect for children.
