Best place to go for any type of food fast friendly service! Always clean and a perfect little place to stop. Chicken and chips is the go 2! As well as the breakfasts! Great value for money.

Excellent place for a snack or a full lunch. I go as often as possible because there's always a great welcome from Becky front of house and from Michael the chef. The food is always fantastic, the prices never seem to go up and the atmosphere is great. Can't be faulted. Go on give it a try. You'll never want to eat anywhere else.

I was one of the British legion members manning our stall on poppy Appeal launch day the loverly lady from the cafe came across and offered us free tea or coffee which was greatly appreciated we also purchased takeaway food during the day which was excellent many many thanks
No frills, clean, quality food, huge portions & comfortable. You're not paying for any expensive decoration. Lovely staff & vfm.
Been in here many times over as cannot fault the place. Friendly staff, great service, food is freshly prepared and delicious. The place is spotlessly clean and Covid secure so never have to worry.
Really good quality food at a normal price, they have managed to keep lots of character this cafe. Great location can park outside too 👌

After the travesty of catering that is The Canary and Linnet, we decided to go further along the A47. This little haven lies in the marketplace in Dereham. A slightly tired exterior gives way to a similar interior.
But it is clean, spotlessly so. The menu is a plethora of well priced dishes. Ordering is done at the table, the waitress was pleasant and friendly.
After a short wait the plates full of food arrived. My wife had a full English with beans, I had scampi, chips and peas.
The chips were amazing. Obviously freshly cooked in the kitchen, but not from a packet, these were made from potatoes, you could tell by the way they were cut, some had odd slices to remove eyes. The scampi was wholetail, the only let down was the peas, but that is only because I do not like marrowfat peas. But you could tell they were boiled with mint in the water.
My wife's full English was a full plate full. Fried slice, sausage, 4 rashers of bacon beans and an egg, along with a slice of bread and butter. The egg was hot, cooked properly and not greasy.
The deserts are very reasonably priced, could do with slightly larger plates though, the ice cream kept escaping onto the table. The coffee is delicious, full bodied and again well priced. We will return...
Absolutely excellent. Okay so it is not a gourmet restaurant but the ham egg and chips is to die for. The chips in particular are freshly cut home made chips, not like the ones in chip shops which have been soaking in water. A shame to hear that one of the other reviewers disliked the ham, perhaps this was not from their normal suppliers.
If I had to suggest an improvement I would want longer opening hours, but for me that would extend to every food/retail outlet in the Country.
