Love this pub and a great idea having a fish and chip shop connected to it. I always have a great time drinking here with a great selection of beers and ciders on tap and some great customer service. Owner is also really friendly and hosts some amazing events for the football and other sporting events. Highly recommend !

We had our Daughter christened on Sunday 17th September with our celebrations continuing at The Railway Tavern. We cannot thank Paul & Debbie enough for all they had done in regards to preparing and organising, nothing was too much trouble. They had organised a yummy spread for our guests (which received many compliments!), they had even offered to decorate the marquee for us so it was one less job for us to worry about and it looked beautiful. Their staff were fantastic, always making sure we were ok and if there was anything we needed. They had even made a little soft play area for the little ones đ„č We really cannot thank you all enough and we would not hesitate in recommending you to friends & family â€ïž

Commenting on the very excellent fish & chip shop rather than the attached pub. Fantastic gluten free fish & chips available here every day with advance order & safe practices to prevent cross contamination re Coeliac dietary requirements.
The adjacent pub always looks inviting, is popular with locals & had fabulous live music out on the patio yesterday evening ( Dereham music festival event at several pubs). Highly recommended both GF & normal fish & chips here!

There seems to be something happening every weekend, if you like fish and chips, go! If you like chatting to the owners and regulars, go, if you like real music go, jugs of beer is fun, food is lovely, simply brill!

Best fish and chips take out or eat in I have ever had, only thing that put me off was it was so, so busy and very loud. Guess that the price you pay though for the best fish and chips (+ intensive menu) for miles around.

For me, I don't get enough chances to have cheesy chips and a beer. Here, I get that and sport on numerous TVs and a good friendly atmosphere. Probably the best combination you can have. A fish and chip shop and a pub in one!!! Alot of people enjoy coming here and there's multiple reasons why.

I tend to use this bar solely for the attached fish n chip shop.
Good freshly cooked food does res8in a few minutes wait, but that's worthwhile when you get the food home.
They do have gluten free options available too, but best to phone such an order through in advance to avoid delays.
