I was lucky enough to win a 2 nights stay with an evening meal thanks to Visit Derry. Myself and my husband had an amazing time. The hotel is fabulous. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and a glass of fizz, shown to our room. Beautiful room, the bed was very comfy, there were also some tasty treats waiting for us. We had an evening meal on our second night. A fantastic 3 course dinner. The food is top class and the service is every bit as good. We also had breakfast both mornings, there was so much to choose from, it tasted fab and the presentation was very good too. We were also offered a glass of fizz for breakfast. Derry is a great city to visit and this is an amazing hotel with friendly staff, who provide five star customer service to their guests. We will definitely be visiting Derry again and this hotel. I would recommend anyone thinking of staying in derry to stay here.
Just home from a fantastic weekend at the Shipquay. Right from the beginning I knew we would have a great time. We were welcomed in by the friendly receptionist who gave us a glass of bubbly each, and brought us to our room. The room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean (how do you get your mirrors streak free) and comfortable. There were beautiful truffles, shortbread and fudge, as well as a bottle of water on arrival to our room with a birthday greeting and card. The bed along with the pillows were so comfortable. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, and the buffet selection was great and very fresh! Breakfast on both mornings was fantastic and the highest quality of ingredients were used. We took the deal which included a 4 course meal - which was amazing, we could choose whatever we wanted from the menu and each course was beautiful. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I will definitely be back!
Definitely the place to go, just celebrated our sons 21st there and we couldn’t fault one thing, the staff are so attentive, the food is first class, the bar man never forgets what you order either �
If your looking for somewhere to go with a bit of class about it this is the place to go.

We were lucky enough to win a competition with Visit Derry, we had a two night stay at this lovely boutique hotel. We were warmly greeted by the two young ladies on reception and after our welcome glass of prosseco were shown to our room which was an upgrade on what we had expected. Everything was as you would expect for a new hotel but the little touches like some complementary chocolates- strawberries were well received. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant and were very well looked after, the food was excellent and again some more complementary prosecco went down well. Joseph ( I think was his name ) was not only attentive but showed a genuine interest and was very easy to get on with, a credit to your team .
Breakfast was a buffet styled contintetal breakfast but you were also able to order from the menu, again prosecco was available for breakfast 😂👍. First class all round.
So if you are looking for a nice boutique hotel that will be able to cater for all your needs , you need look no further.
A pleasure to stay here and the city is also a hidden gem, visit Derry is also worth checking for things to see-do .

We were here yesterday for the bottomless brunch.. the food was beautiful and the service was even better. Very attentive staff. We were in the side room on our own which made it feel very cosy.. planning our next visit already👌
We spent the night here last night and it was really lovely. We got a room with a nice view looking out at the foyle. We got prosecco on arrival which was lovely. We didn't get the room we where supposed to but we didn't mind. The room we got was lovely. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and we really enjoyed. There was a new fella who had just started 2 days prior and he was really good and helpful. (Paul I think). The cocktails are delicious. All in all the best hotel we've stayed in in Derry. Great location and great atmosphere �
What can i say just back from a lovely weekend with friends. I found the staff brillant and so lovely also the food hats of to the chef. I could not fault this hotel from arrival to the end everything was prefect and staff on reception so helpful definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be back x
Just want to Thank Tracey and staff today for an amazing lunch for our small group of 12 friends. The soup ,sandwiches and shortbread were extremely tasty and beautifully presented . The friendliness of all the staff and great service was really appreciated . We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and most definitely will be back . Thank you for making it a very enjoyable experience !!
I stayed here recently for my hen weekend and would highly recommend the Shipquay! Super friendly staff and lovely personal touches made the weekend a special getaway with my friends and family. Can't wait to come back for another visit soon.

The place was awesome. The location couldn't be any better, and we were lucky to get upgraded on the room, so that turned out great as well. Chantelle that welcomed us on check-in was lovely, made our stay even nicer. Everything was just perfect.
Absolutely beautiful hotel we've loved our stay! Lovely comfortable room, friendly staff, excellent service and a very tasty breakfast. We've yet to try the restaurant for an evening meal but I'm sure we'll be back again very soon for another visit!

My husband and I have just stayed at Shipquay Boutique Hotel for the 1st...but not the last time!! From a glass of bubbly at check in.....to enjoying a sharing platter and a few drinks in the lock and quay bar...to the comfort of our fabulous room....attention was paid to all the little details that made our stay so enjoyable. All the staff where so friendly and nothing was a problem.....highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be returning for another stay.
We had a beautiful family celebration meal here last weekend and it’s was great. Food was amazing and the service impeccable. The staff even surprised us with a glass of champagne each due to the celebrations. If you are looking for a real treat you need to visit this place. Will certainly be back. Thank you again for a lovely evening

Delightful lunch today: catch of the day was Donegal hake with spring greens in a light cream sauce. I was a little surprised that the broad beans weren’t double-podded, but no matter: it was fab and filling.
Amazing, one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever had an afternoon lunch.
My partner and I had the fresh haddock & chips and Hereford prime beef burger, both 10/10 top quality.
The staff were so friendly and the place really has that boutique hotel feel. This restaurant would not be out of place in Dublin or London!
The atmosphere was very relaxing with good music for a chilled autumn afternoon. The wine was very good and the service was second to none.
We will definitely stay in this hotel on our next trip to derry. Very reasonable prices also. £40 for 2 glasses of red, 2 main courses with sides.
Really enjoyable meal here 2 weeks ago. They were well able to cater for gluten free diet as well. Fab cocktails.

After months of not getting out due to covid the first place we wanted to visit was shipquay restaurant and as it was our wedding anniversary the perfect opportunity to do so . From the moment we walked in the the door we couldn't have been more welcomed by Alicia very bright and bubbly and all the members of staff at the the hotel made us feel special . Staff were very welcoming and attentive during our meal could not fault it . We ordered a whisky sour from the bar and have to say it was up there with the best and the bar man surname jefferson sorry didn't get your first name gave us a a wee tip how to make them such a nice guy and so easy to chat too. Made the night more special over all we had an amazing night out and the food was delicious could not fault it. Thank you to all the staff at shipquay hotel you made our night so special xxx
Was recommended to me by a colleague and did not disappoint, starter and mains both fantastic, scallops with black pudding crumble followed by monkfish with Spanish potatoes,chorizo and samphir .. my Lady had a signature cocktail to finish"cinqa de mayo"..Huge Thumbs up from her..Service was first class. An all-round fantastic dining experience..Well done Shipquay!

Snuck in here without a reservation and so glad we stumbled across it. Food was incredible with excellent vegetarian options. Good unique cocktail menu (I had a peach tea; Jameson's, peach schnapps, black tea which was lovely) and attentive service.

The menu is sublime fantastic choice at excellent prices. The staff here are really friendly and attentive, never in your face but always at hand. The crowning glory is the food, lunch high tea or my favourite evening meal. I love this place, & would recommend this beautiful hotel 100%.
