My wife and I came across ‘the Oak’ tonight on a trip to Didcot. It was a really fabulous night. Excellent, affordable food. Really accessible and family friendly place. Nice to see a diverse group of people using the pub and feeling welcomed. The staff were really helpful and went beyond our expect
Been here a few times for food. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. The food does take a while to come out of the kitchen, but I won't complain about that. Every time I've been here the food was lovely. The prices are very reasonable too.

I celebrated my birthday with my daughter and they gave me a surprise cake with a candle when they came to know. It was so nice! The lady at the bar was amazing, ever smiling and served me extra sauce when I asked for it...
Always great service and food for it's price point. We always go during the quiet times and get served promptly with our drinks and food. Recommended
Popped in to the Royal Oak this afternoon, had a fantastic, hot Sunday roast which was delicious. Staff very friendly, accommodating and efficient. We went in a Tusday 6pm few people in the pub. Is a new decoration. But service was amazing so much that we got to reworded the stuf with a tip. Food was amazing. Best fish an chip in a year as well the chiken mazala.

Consistently good food that is fresh and hot whilst served quickly. Quick service as well. Plus, the staff are always friendly and Debbie behind the bar always puts a smile on your face
