Review The Bull - Ditchling

Wonderful overnight stay at The Bull. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. My room was ready for me when I arrived, which was much earlier than the usual check-in time. A huge thank you for making my visit to Ditchling so relaxing and peaceful. Looking forward to my next visit!

Probably the nicest pub I have had the pleasure of visiting. Myself and my friends spent a wonderful weekend having our every wishes lovingly catered for by Phil and his team. A special mention to Philo who was very doting and set us up for the day with a delicious breakfast each morning. The pub has a varied and wide selection of drinks and a wonderful menu. We had the pleasure of staying in the accommodation, which is kitted out to a very high standard with all luxuries thought of and catered for. I would have absolutely no hesitation in staying again and look forward to my next trip

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and very well stocked with nibbles and drinks. The food on both evenings was great, slow cooked pork belly spring roll is to die for! Lucy and Lizzie (bar staff) were helpful and had great a sense of humour. Happy to recommend The Bull.

We went to The Bull for dinner as a special occasion (wedding anniversary.) Whilst we thought the quality of the food was excellent we had to speak to the staff member about the size of the fish portion for my wife's main course. Great service saved the day. Luke, our waiter, was brilliant and he was superbly backed up by the master chef who cooked a 2nd portion. The special occasion remained just that.

Good range on the menu, food lovely, Service was friendly. The room we stayed in was one of the bigger ones. It was fantastic, bigger than expected, spotlessly clean with a very special feel about it.

Fabulous place. So warm and welcoming and very, very clean. We really felt at home and looked after. Philomena was wonderful and took care of topping up our drinks and making us feel cared for. Will be back!

Great Sunday lunch. We were awkward customers having booked an indoor table, then asking to sit outside as the weather was so nice, then asking to move back inside once the weather took a bad turn! The staff were very accommodating and more than happy to find us a table and move us. Great food

I really enjoyed it here. The gentleman behind the bar was friendly. It was a pleasant atmosphere and most importantly, the food was lovely. It must be good as it was busy for a Wednesday lunchtime.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but used the bar and restaurant for a team meeting. The staff and service were great and we were well looked after by Claire. The food was excellent and great value. We will be back!

4 of us went to dinner on a Saturday night. Atmosphere was nice, not manic busy, staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Our waitress knew the menu well enough to answer questions about the dishes on it and accommodate personal preferences and also to answer questions on the wine list. Food was nicely presented, hot and delicious! All at a sensible price. A great night!

We had lunch here yesterday [29:03:23] for the first time in 25+ yrs. No reason for not using this place, other than moving away from the area and lifestyle. It was very nice. Friendly welcome, very good service. There is plenty of choice to choose from off the menu. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at The Bull. Great service and great food. Loved the fire!

Only came for dinner so can't comment on rooms Great meal at a reasonable price. Prompt service from a friendly team but best of all the squeezed us in late evening with no booking.
