I cannot fault this Inn! Having wanted to visit the Navi for a few years after visiting the area. I finally got around to it this weekend. What a treat! The Inn is very welcoming and cosy as soon as you walk in and has been finished to a high standard.
However, the true gem in the crown is the food! A great selection to meet any requirements and a fantastic list of specials!
All the food was delicious, and I would highly recommend it to all!
Best pub food in Saddleworth (or even Manchester) Every dish was packed with flavor and the ambiance encapsulated the true essence of a traditional pub. A must-visit for both locals and visitors!
From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome! We hadn't booked but we were found a table and very quickly were asked what we wanted to drink! The menus were very good with a great choice and the specials menu was excellent! The landlady made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
Lovely place, superb food from a great menu and top class service
The staff are beyond a five star!! Not ate here yet, but lovely pub, good measures in drinks, had a great time with my sister and boyfriend!! See you very very soon my dears xxx
Been here a few times and we have always had great food with a friendly service. Will be back again soon.
My second visit to The Navigation, and again, a first class experience. Great beer, and excellent food. The Service is excellent. I was made to feel very welcome on both occasions. Thank You.

Lovely pub, very friendly and welcoming staff, good atmosphere. Food was excellent.
Beautiful pub with a lovely outdoor terrace. Staff really welcoming and dog friendly 👍
It's just a lovely pub. The welcome is good, the beer is very good and the food is excellent. Four-spice chicken curry with half and half chips and rice was particularly good. Have eaten here several times over the years and the high quality has been maintained. Worth travelling some distance!
Met some friends here. Did not eat, but will do in the future as food looks great . Very friendly place. A bit embarrassed as we are locals and have not eaten in this place before. We will do now!
Jo was so funny and great at putting up with a rowdy family meal (and all the young servers too, thank you!)
Large portions - the halloumi fries starter would feed two. Massive sticks of halloumi.
All the meals we had (prawn curry, crispy chilli beef, ox cheek, sea bass, hake, fish and chips, liver, steak) were all fab. Can't fault a single part of the meal.
Booked lunch here on recommendation today and have to say wow .Popped in from wigan with some family members. Amongst other things we had 4 meals off the special menu which were superb .Hake , Ox cheek tagliatelle,Fish pie and lamb hot pot .We also had a small child with us who was , like the 4 adults very well received and couldn’t have been made to feel anymore welcome. Great food, great service and cracking value. Will defo be back !!! Regards Andrew and family.
We walked up to 'Pots'n'Pans, and booked a table for two, the landlady took our order and was very friendly, and welcomed us when we arrived. It was a little difficult to find a place to park but I managed it. The Pub inside is lovely, and clean with lovely seating and cushions, and the tables are well spaced, the bar area is really clean and accessible, the staff are really helpful and well trained. The food was excellent, I had lamb cutlet, which was cooked to perfection in a lovely creamy sauce, very well seasoned and presented, my Sister had the Sunday roast and that is the best Sunday roast that either of us has seen or tasted, the meat was cooked to perfection and melts in the mouth, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely visit again, The Navigation is in a lovely setting, and I can highly recommend it Thanks
Fab food good ale and you could safely take your Gran.
My friend I visited Friday lunchtime & there was a warm welcome from all the staff. The food was excellent so much better than usual pub food & presented beautifully. Wish we lived nearer to visit more often
