Great restaurant in a lovely location. Coffee & carrot cake were excellent. Reasonable prices. Stunning canal side views. Lovely tranquil walk along the Caledonian canal. Very popular with coach parties & people driving to the NC500.

Great place to stop by for lunch. We had some delicious sandwiches and visited the gift shop. There are some highland cows on the property as well.

Come here often and everytime we get a warm welcome, delicious food and then pop outside to enjoy some time by the canal. The food is fresh, local and piping hot. The prices are reasonable and there is a great selection to choose from. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the surroundings comfy and clean. It's also dog friendly which is fab. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We were hungry on our drive around Loch Ness and stopped here. After a little waiting time we got our table. Food has to be ordered at the counter where you will have your drinks. Food is served at your table. Both the Caesars Salad and Haddock/chips were fresh and very good. Even now in September it is very busy during lunchtime.

Excellent cruise along the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. Spectacular views and a very informative commentary during the journey. Used the restaurant for lunch which was first rate. They were able cope with allergy requirements without too much bother. All in all, an excellent trip

We came here for the Jacobite cruise, but it was only running in the mornings and we missed it by timings. Our BAD...!!! we decided to have brunch here, very scottsh but ittle expensive. the restaurant is very beautiful attached with a cute gift shop. The food was really hot and tasty to satisby our taste buds. I would really recommend to eat at this place. Other than boat cruises you can have a good walk around and see some cute cows and buffallows around. Parking: Yes, Big parking Toilet: No, inside the cafe

5 stars for the extremely polite and helpful staff at this restaurant. I saw the staff patiently explain directions to Loch Ness, to many lost tourists. Thanks for all the help.

Easter Sunday, a wee bit of a hangover, need a fry up and decent coffee... my fab wife drives me, we arrive about 1045am. Ooft, this is a really nice scottish breakfast, sure it might be on the pricey side locally but seriously, it's well worth it. And cooked to perfection. And the staff are super nice and friendly. The toilets are immaculate and accessible if you're using a wheelchair. Then you can wander out to look at boats on the canal and lo! Hangover is gone πŸ™‚

There's no point looking for Nessie now...I ate her! One of the best plates of fish n' chips I've had, massive portion too. Just the ticket to give you energy halfway through a 20km walk along the Caledonian Canal from and to Inverness!

My friend and I walked out to Dochgarroch Lock from Inverness with the prospect of a nice lunch at An Talla, we were not disappointed. We arrived about 11.30 am and lunches are not served until 12 noon. We had a coffee while we waited. The cafe was busy with a good atmosphere. Once we made our order we did not wait long for our food and what a generous helping we got! It was an extremely good break for us and we were well full for the return walk back to Inverness. All in all we walked ten miles, we had an excellent outing and we plan to do it again soon.

I really liked the whole set up. Something for everyone. The restaurant, walks along the locks, with/without dogs, shopping, Jacobite boat trips onto the Loch Ness. Parking easy, 3 Highland coos in the field adjacent to parking area. food was enjoyable. Service was efficient.

Nice restaurant with lots of seating & gift shop, close to the pick up point for Loch Ness cruise -you can also purchase tickets here. We arrived mid morning, so had coffee & homemade scone & carrot cake. You can have cooked meals and wine also. Nice helpful staff, lovely location with Highland coos & picnic areas, good spot for a lovely walk along the canal with bus stop in carpark for open top bus.

The food was extremely fresh, prices are mid range but worth it. Very clean and bright restaurant, despite it being extremely busy food did not take long. Perfect for a spot of lunch and an afternoon walk.
