Madge brought me to see the market place. There is a large indoor market with lots of additional stalls spread about outside. One of the best UK markets we have been to. Nice town centre pub that serves a range of excellent real ales.

The sharing platter was simple but good. 5 interesting cask ales on tap, and the wheat beer we had was in good order.

Cannot fault the amazing experience. Was down on a work course for the week and couldn't find a more relaxed and great place to have a drink. Perhaps the most beautiful and interestingly designed small real ale pub I've been in, and there have been many! Late Sunday afternoon it was very quiet, just a few others plus me. Soon got into conversation though and found two persons very happy to extol the virtues of drinking in the M.P. Stuart
