Came to The City restaurant for a friend's birthday with four other people. Never visited before despite living nearby. Upon getting sat down, I completely forgot I was in Doncaster, a combination of smooth Jazz and the brickwork decor transported me to a trendy European city in the 1920s - 1930s.

Had my daughters Christening for a party of 40 people for food and about 45 overall for included in drinks as well. The service was outstanding. Had a lovely evening at the City Restaurant. Menu options are great, my partner and I both tried meats we'd not had before which the chef cooked to perfection. We visited here on a recommendation from a local man at the market. I have visited many restaurants over the years, this food was amazing! The venison was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth! Highly recommended you give this place a try.
