It's the first time I've been here and on my experience I found the staff friendly and polite and offer good range of food and drink to choose from and the service was good to, the Jacket potato I had with cheese was really lovely the salad was nice and the dressing was tasty to and it was a good size portion, it was a nice relaxed atmosphere so I would definitely recommend it, and I would definitely come again on the future and try a lovely cake next time!!!
Love this place me & my mum go almost every week love the food n cakes r to die for . Always had great service keep up the good work 😊
It's the place to visit every time you are in Doncaster, lovely food lovely staff, simply perfect
Visited today for the 1st time what a wonderful place, used a purple voucher had 2 pots of tea and 2 bacon sandwiches for the total of £3:80 BARGIN staff was lovely and place extremely clean
We loved it so much, we worked out whether we would have time before christmas to taste the entire cake selection and it would mean two a week. Being that we only go once a week we gave the blackforest roulade a go and it was so delicious we had a second go and went for the strawberry cheesecake and it did not disappoint, we struggled and struggled but it was worth it, next time it will be just one cake and more reasons to continue visiting. The hot beverages were also made to perfection, the experience was pure joy and can't wait to return.
I've been in a few times and sampled many of the yummy cakes and today I tried a pulled pork panini and oh my days! it was the nicest panini I've ever had! I was so full but could have happily eaten another one! I also tried the lemon and lime cheesecake and that was so yummy. Only problem is I work just around the corner and it's so tempting! lol I might have to nip in before work tomorrow and buy another panini :D
Lovely creamy Cappacino and a Nice pot of tea.Good seating and lovely toasted snack.Would recommed it.
I visited mon as my husband and I very often do on our day off. I have celiacs disease and this is one of the places I feel confident to eat in. I mentioned the Valerie patisserie had very little/nothing gluten free and the kind gentlemen offered me one of his gluten free scones to try and also give my husband a normal one to try so he wasn't left out. I must say your gluten free scone was very nice so now I will be spoilt for choice over the scone and the lovely carrot cake. Many thanks, from a very happy lady
Friendly service. Lovely food and drink. Good value for money.
Best jacket potato in town ! Also the food and the staff are lovely
Went in while visiting Doncaster their Cakes are very good, We will have to revisit
Absolutely delicious. would highly recommend that you pop in. Lovely staff as well
Excellent food and pleasant staff. Enjoyed a delicious piece of carrot cake and a good cuppa of Earl Grey tea.
Frenchgate is a really easy place to visit; you don’t even need to venture outside when you arrive by train or bus and there’s also a multi-storey carpark.
I like the fact that coming up into the centre from the train station via the escalator you are surrounded by local displays such as artwork and information about local artists and events.
There’s a good range of shops with everything from the value shops upto high end brands, together with a food court, kiddies rides and independent stalls-there’s even a pub!
There are both escalators and stairs linking the levels-there may also be lifts.
At some point I must look at a better map of the centre; I can usually navigate around it pretty well but on this most recent visit I got thoroughly confused as signs to the railway station and bus station seemed few and far between.
Like most modern shopping centres there are some empty units, but in my opinion it is far superior to shopping centres in many other towns.
Decent variety and mix of shops, I particularly liked its connection to the train and bus stations. Had a nice time strolling around when I had to suddenly change travel plans. Was surprised by how early the shops close. After 18.00 on a week day the place was eerily quiet.
Big indoor shopping mall directly next to Doncaster train station. You can walk into the mall from the train station without going outside. There's a multi-storey car park, collect ticket on way in and pay for ticket at machine before returning to your car. Its number plate recognition, so you don't actually need to insert a ticket at the exit barrier. There are alot of shops and food outlets. The food tends to be fast food, quite a selection. There's even a pub, yes an actual pub in the shopping centre for those who want to combine their 2 favourite hobbies. The pub doesn't have a beer garden.
All the main high street shops you need. Also lots of places to eat although would be nice to have a few more healthier options aside from the likes of Burger joints, pizza, pub etc. clean and well kempt.
It's a well laid out centre it's just lacking open shops as are most centres .it's easy accessable for disabled it's linked to the side of Doncaster train station via lifts .
There are some great shops plenty of places to eat . Just remember not to buy water from the Burger king £2.09 for 500ml even the staff said it was ridiculous but we needed it for our friends little lad.
On investigation we found most of the sweet shops sold water at a pound a bottle .
The security staff were excellent in giving advice. And ejecting kids that where running riot very professionally.
We visited Frenchgate shopping centre yesterday because we wanted to eat at cosmo.
Parking at this shopping centre was very easy even in our VW van.
The shopping centre itself was very clean and tidy and housed many mainstream shops and restaurants.
Myself and my wife were very impressed by frenchgate and Doncaster and plan on revisiting in the near future.
Great choice of shops, some are high end selling brands but also plenty of bargain stores, all selling great quality items at reasonable prices, something for everyone, lots of sales on, tidy throughout and gorgeous festive decorations, Upper and lower stores, escalator and lift available, good accessibility for pushchairs and wheelchairs, plenty of places to eat, and good transport connections with the bus station being directly below
The carpark is really easy to use and very big, the shopping centre has a mixture of everything and the food court is small but gives you a good choice of different fast food outlets. Very well situated as the bus station is right next to the shopping centre and the train station is close by too.
Nice place but could do with better signage.
Big place, plenty of shops and eateries. Ample parking. You have to pay to park on site but it's not expensive.
What I love about frenchgate mall is that it has lots of variety of stores. You're bound to find retail stores you'd like and the mall is well cleaned and after and train station and bus station are interconnected with the mall itself.
All the staff members and mall security are nice and friendly are happy to help you with any enquiry if you need any help.
Love it brilliant mall I recommend anyone to come in and check it out for themselves and not just take my word!
In interchange many ppl think they can smoke vapes, even had a girl smoke vape smoke as I was sat waiting for a bus, security guards are less than useless, also saw bus drivers smoking practically in the interchange as well.
I always visit once a month as I live in Sheffield so always makes a good day out if looking for something different and the market is good aswell
Good shopping center . Super market, pound shop money change, different kind of product can find in French gate also have famous trade mark for shopping .Sport shop restaurant, food mall , have car park . just only 2 min can go to bus and train station
Great shopping centre, loads of quality brands, good selection of places to eat, spotlessly clean and maintained. Highly recommended
