Absolutely brilliant place and staff. Had my wedding reception in the function room and couldn't fault the staff one bit. The whole day went lovely. Food was lovely and fresh. The guests all commented on how lovely the food was. If I could give more stars I would. Made our day absolutely perfect thank you xxx

Disappointed that the carvery only had gammon , steak pie or sausAges on it at 7 on a Friday evening . No apology / explanation just told that's what was available . The lady chef serving explained that there had been a mistake made in the kitchen ( it happens!) but some training at the point of ordering would be a good idea

Absolutely fantastic , best it’s been in a long time. Thank you very much. Pete the chef top man friendly and positive vibes. We had the carvery and everything was cooked to perfection. We travel out of our way to come here and this is exactly why and what you would expect and more.

Went in for a breakfast and was greeted by a very friendly man! He gave us tips on how to use the toaster and got my some fresh fried eggs for Pete the cook! Amazing. The quality of the food was lovely and penny there. Would have been nice to have fresh orange as an option and maybe some pastries but all in all a lovely value for money breakfast that we will definitely have again!

A blast from the past. Haven't been here for 20 years and it was exactly the same good, but not great, carvery experience. Plenty of veg, some of which was getting a bit cold by the time I was filling my plate. Don't go for anything larger than the traditional unless you have a larger than traditional sized stomach. Will definitely be calling in again now I've rediscovered the place.

Upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely staff who greeted me and escorted me to a table. The vibe instantly hit me as welcoming. The food arrived and it was presented very well. The food tasted beautiful and didn’t take long to arrive once I had ordered. Pete the chef even left his busy station to ask how the food was and if there was anything to improve. Such a good bunch of staff who clearly have the customers best interest at heart.

Very pleased to see that Pete the chef is alive and well despite the recent rumours to the contrary! As always it was a pleasure to have lunch (carvery) at this place. Pete served us with his usual good nature and friendly banter. The food was very good and the meat particularly well served and of excellent quality. We’ve booked for Christmas Day lunch again.👍

Had the carvery was served by Pete the chef lovely fellow cheerful and even let my husband try a bit of beef before choosing which meat he wanted. I opted for the beef which was excellent soft and flavoursome. Vegetables especially the roast potatoes were fabulous overall really excellent enjoyed it so did my husband and son Pete even came to the table to see if we were happy definitely Yes can't wait to go again.
