Recently went in with friends for a meal, and the staff were very friendly. The decor is laid-back, urban and my kind of thing. The booth seats are preferable.
I had the burger of the month (suggested to C&A each month by a diner - I think this was November?), which was a beef patty, with smoked cheese, garlic creamy mushrooms and rocket. I can honestly say that this was the best burger combo I have ever had. Please put it on the regular menu!! I would have it every time...
The only thing that would put some people off (such as my husband!) is that you have to order all sides (fries, onion rings, etc, etc) separately at an additional charge. I appreciate that this maybe works out better for people who don’t want the extra sides, but then I’m not sure the burger price reflects that these aren’t included.
Anyway, it doesn’t bother me enough to mark the place down in this review, but may put others off, so thought it was worth mentioning as feedback.
Overall, another great place to add to Dorchester’s growing social scene.
Hi my wife Karen Haskell and myself ate in your place yesterday and found the food to be of an excellent standard served by friendly staff, I had the piggy back burger and this was an excellent choice my wife had the skinny chicken burger and no bun and we both found them great value x we then followed it with the apple crumble pudding xx
Food was spot on delicious 👌 staff were so friendly and helpful definitely recommend, best burger I've had in this town 😊
We had a lovely meal at the Cow and Apple in Dorchester with my little girls last night - when I asked about the gluten free options they were fantastic - all normal chip, dips (including bbq) and burgers are GF and a GF bun to go with it! They made it so easy, fuss free and so easy to order! I wish all restaurants could think like this!
We came for my nephews 21st Birthday on Sunday. There were 11 of us so we pre booked our food on a few hours before. The food was fantastic & the waiting staff couldn’t have been more attentive! I would highly recommend & we will definitely be coming back! Thankyou for making it a lovely chilled family birthday gathering 👌👍

Great looking food place with great cider selection.Rhubarb was my favourite.We celebrated my daughters 16th birthday with a selection of starters which were all delicious.Then all had different burgers and fries which were truly scrumptious.The taste of the beef from the burgers was proper lush.Staff were brilliant.Over all extremely lovely.We will be returning customers and highly recommend to friends and family
My wife and I visited here for breakfast and were blown away by not only the quality of the service but the beautiful food which was provided. Cider and burger is certainly my type of restaurant, so I cannot wait to come back one evening and try the evening menu and of course the range of ciders. Keep up the good work guys and we will be back very soon
What a great place for a bite to eat, fantastic quality burgers, lush sides and the cider selection is amazing!!
There are no frills, furniture is ad hoc in places but the experience is worth it all!

Went there today with my girlfriend for the Valentine's Day meal offer and really enjoyed it! Food was served briskly and the staff were friendly and considerate. We both liked the ambience and the rustic look and def will come back again! Proper food and fresh as well!
Great place and good vibe about it, meal was brilliant and the service we received from meg was just as good. Food was perfect and could of spent alot longer in there working through the ciders. Next on the list is breakfast here

Amazing restaurant this, we are here as a family of 4, and not only was the food fresh and tasty but they were very accommodating of my milk allergy and our server went out of her way to find out what was suitable to me! The burgers themselves were not like the solid burgers you usually get from other places, they were tender and freshly cooked, and the milkshakes looked (and apparently tasted) amazing, thank you 😁
Amazing customer service, nice atmosphere and delicious fresh burgers. On a ketogenic diet at the moment and you can swap all your buns out for extra salad and yer chips, Michelin star level presentation. Cheers team, Woodland burger was banging.
Good Cider on the tap. Milkshake is awesome. Burger has a nice size patty and it is good. The staff is super helpful and friendly.
Adapted to the COVID situation amazingly well. Well spaced out, good access to hand gel and everything well cleaned. Food was incredible and cider taster basket was brilliant and gives you a chance to try 6 different drinks! Kingsman black cider is the best!

Great burgers ethically sourced and reared of origin. Good service and good cider. Found by accident and will now keep eyes open for any other branches. Highly recommended ❤️👣⚡️🍔🍺
Really fantastic food, decor and atmosphere. Feels trendy and isn't a chain restaurant, which really shows. Service was good and they adapted the menu to suit my dietary needs. Went with my partner and two good friends and we all enjoyed it - had three different burgers between us and all great. Burgers are very meaty and tasty. Definitely will be recommending it to everyone!

Recently took my girlfriend here for a birthday meal and wow. This is the best experience we have ever had at a restaurant. Best burger ever and best service ever. We were so impressed by the lovely guy called Miles the first time, we went back a week later for round 2! Miles really make my girlfriend's birthday special so would be so pleased to be served by him again. Great music, great atmosphere and great cider! Love love love. We will be back, again! :-) only feedback would be we would like a card that we can rate the cider on, like a score card.
you haven't arrived here expecting a fine dining experience, you're here because you want a fantastic burger, a good, crisp pint, or three of cider before you head out, and you chose well. Great burgers, good range of ciders, the odd cocktail, great service. Honest food, honest offering to set you up for the rest if the evening, good call!
Had very good service. Best burger I've had for ages. Starters we're good. Children enjoyed their choices. Children's menu is a bargain. We shared starters and should have shared chips. Too full to try deserts maybe next time and will definitely find our way for a next time.
We had a great meal here, my wife had a burger and I had the chilli hot dog. Exceeded expectations and will definitely be going back. The cider choices are superb and our waiter even let us tase a couple before deciding which to have!! Go and try it, you’ll be glad you did !
Brilliant, quirky pub/burger house. Unmatched selection of superbly kept ciders, really good burgers - and lots of other things to eat and drink as well, including plenty for vegans and vegetarians. Mad, welcoming decor, interesting music, good service. Can't recommend it highly enough - give it a try!
Great burgers made from 28 day aged beef. They also have hot dogs and tacos on the menu.
On Wednesday they have their 'midweek meat up'. This includes most burgers, hot dogs and tacos with fries, coleslaw and a half of lager, cider or a small glass of wine for £10.
We had the 'Combine' and a 'Piggy back' burgers and Korev Cornish lager to drink.
Fantastic selection of ciders and other drinks a available.
Friendly staff and good service.

The Cow & Apple, an interesting place. Other wasn't busy when I was there just 4 other customers. It's not far from the cinema on the one way road south to north in Dorchaster. They are not open Mondays and open 10am until 9pm most other days.
The young lady who served me was very polite and friendly. I haven't eaten there but I will definitely go back there.
Omg I went for the first time on Tuesday to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. The staff were very polite, friendly and accomadating. The food was excellent quality, best burger I have had in a long time. Came back again Friday and brought my mum along. Again, the staff were very polite, friendly and accomadating. And the food was excellent again. Highly recommend the Cow and Apple and can't wait for my next visit
