my wife and I and two other couples stayed for a weekend and the food service and rooms were excellent Gavin could not do enough for us it was the best weekend away we have had. the breakfast was well cooked and plenty of it. a big thank you to Gavin and his staff for such a lovely stay.

Spent a lovely evening in the restaurant with family on 13th October 2023. I cannot comment on the rooms but the service and food were lovely and hot. A wide range of choice on the menu and a very tentative waiter (Zack). The only negative was the £16 menu we, were accidentally, over charged but the staff quickly realised and amended the bill. Will be visiting again.

Our room was spacious and beautiful.
The owners and staff were friendly and the service was brilliant.
Breakfast came with the room charge, you could have a cooked breakfast with a vegetarian option available and then help yourself to cereal and juice.
We are dinner there one night and it was delicious and very reasonably prices , two courses for £16.
I would highly recommend staying here and I would love to visit again in the future.

We went to The Countryman on Sunday for lunch and had booked a table for noon We could see that they had an influx of people for the opening. Unfortunately, we sat next to a large party that did nothing but complain about every little thing and then one of them started to argue with the manager I believe, that ruined our lunch the poor management couldn't get to a word in eagways.

Visited here 3 times for lunch while on our holiday. Had a great welcome from Rachel who then took our orders for food & drinks. Rachel was very friendly & helpful, then proceeded to bring a sausage for our dog. Food was excellent & good value. Will visit again when back in the area. Thanks again Alan, Kim & our Cockerpoo Dillon.

Met an old friend from 50 years ago there. Good evening with nice beer and food on the restaurant area. Service a bit erratic but the job got done. Environment quite good, but we did not really like being put on a table under the TV screen. Not too noisy but distracting and I hate football!

It’s been a pleasure staying at this inn.the staff are amazing and so is the ambience of the pub and very comfortable, clean spacious room. A 5 star experience in the Dorset country side. The food and breakfast is very nice ! And a also great place for bands to play .

We've just experienced our first Sunday Carvery here. Good service. And the food was delicious. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Dog friendly too.

Stayed here 2 nights, lovely homely feel to the rooms & restaurant, rooms clean beds were lovely and comfortable slept like a baby, staff were very helpful & food was delicious. "Highly recommend"
