A very warm welcome from the assistant manager, Kelly, who showed me to my boutique room. Gorgeous and cute followed by a steak dinner as it was "Steak Thursday" finished by the chocolate dessert (don't mind if I do) thank you. A lovely wholesome experience and will be back if I am ever this way 💕

Food was absolutely amazing! Best Sunday roast I have had in a while. With both vegan options and the traditional roasts everyone was catered for ❤️ our severs were also brilliant and attentive

Food has been great, the staff and locals are welcoming, they are very dog friendly and it's a good-looking little pub with great sunset views. It has its own carpark opposite it.

Just been and ate at their BBQ. FANTASTIC. Would definitely recommend the chicken shish. Yummy.

This is exactly what you want from a pub. Warm, friendly, personal, good beer and great people behind the bar. The Wednesday night quiz is simply brilliant.

Under new management, lovely looking traditional pub, with a well balanced menu. Not to intense, but good quality products. Real Ale, Quiz nights and live music monthly. One to watch

If in the area highly recommended whatever is on the menu. Bar staff are amazing (thank you Lexi), food is delicious (they cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free), great wine & beer selection & to top it all the owners are awesome hosts 🙌

A really lovely and traditional pub located in a quiet part of Dormansland. Food and service was excellent and the owners were very friendly. It felt really community centred which I really like. I'll look forward to returning.

Best local ever... a proper country village pub with very friendly owners. A real community feel to it and such a good spot to sit in the afternoon and evening sunshine and enjoy a drink or three

It's a quiet, out of the way old fashioned pub with plenty of parking. We visited as part of a work lunch; if you're in a large group I believe you have to order ahead. The portion sizes are really generous. I had the minted lamb burger, which came with a flatbread and curly fries. I was envious of the cheese ploughman's which came with large wedges of cheese, pork pies, bread and salad. The staff are friendly and willing to accommodate requests.

First time back to the Old House at Home since the refurb and I must say they have done a fantastic job. Outside area looks amazing and the frozen pint glasses was a nice touch. Will definitely be visiting again soon and telling friends about it.

Excellent pub lunch yesterday whilst watching Lizzie Yarnold win gold on a big screen TV. A very warm welcome from lovely staff and great Brie and Bacon Baguette and tons of chips. The Beer and Lager went down well too This place is a little Gem

Another great meal at the old house. We have been living in the platt now for a year and love the fact we can walk to a pub that has great food, good service and amazing sunsets. Highly reccomend this pub.

A nice country pub tucked away close to Lingfield racecourse. Very welcoming Landlady and Landlord. Tastefully decorated. The food exceeded expectations. Loved the fact that the menu selection was small and that it was printed, showing that it frequently changed. I always think that this is a sign of a good chef. The food really was great. My son loved his burger and the cheese ploughmans was well presented and a good selection. The chips were fantastic. Home cooked!! You will need to order a main course that is accompanied by chips in order to try these. All in all a pleasurable experience. We will return with others. Well done!

Very friendly, dogs welcome the food was excellent, it's preferable to book and pay by cash as they are in a zone where it's difficult to get a signal for the card machine, well worth a visit. As I live in Spain it's lovely to come back and go to a real English village pub.

Such a lovely traditional pub, very welcoming by all the staff and has a great atmosphere!

My husband was overjoyed to find a Shepherd & Neame pub near our B&B, newly refurbished and on the first night of their new menu. The food was great and the service warm and friendly.

My first visit to The Old House since it's refurb! If you haven't been there recently do go. Nice red ale! Nicely updated but with no loss of the character this pub has! Must try that menu!
