The Clachan

We stopped on the off chance with no reservation, it was busy when we arrived as there was a coach trip there. The lady at the bar said she could seat us for food in half an hour so we returned and my partner had the haddock and chips which he enjoyed and I had the scallops and black pudding starter as my main. The scallops were beautifully cooked and the black pudding was the best I've ever had! Would definitely recommend. It's not a very big place and there seemed to be a nice mix of locals and tourists, the staff were lovely too

We chose Dornie because of this pub and we didn't regret any at second. Lovely pub. Joe and Steven and the lovely service ladies do a fantastic job. Highly recommended is the food - the kitchen is amazing. Everything we tried was wow. The venison sausages dish is a blast. Please guys keep doing like this, it was a pleasure to meet you and to spend some hours in our holidays at your. Oh I almost forgot the scallops with stornoway black pudding... gosh... that was a dream. Thank you all so much.

Had a lovely meal at The Clachan for the other half's birthday. The staff were welcoming and friendly making us feel right at home. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time. If you have the duck breast I highly recommend the tarragon and port sauce which was so good I almost asked if they had a tub of it I could take away with me. Would love to go back next time I'm in this area.

Outstanding food and outstanding service! From the outside this looks just like any small Scottish country pub. I side is nice, but nothing exceptional. What is exceptional is the food! We went back 3 times in 7 days and it's definitely the best food option within 50 miles! Each time the food was there within 20 minutes of the order and each night the placewas full! The team are all super friendly and efficient! Definitely worth a visit!
