The Woodside, Doune - Pub & Restaurant - Doune - Photo album

We had the pleasure of dining at this lovely, recently renovated, restaurant. I went into the experience expecting relatively typical pub food (which I would have been perfectly happy with:), but was thrilled to find that this restaurant has an elevated menu—-while there is a nod to “pub food” the
A great wheelchair accessible stop for lunch. Accessible parking bays right at the door, button to press that opens the door. A couple of different table styles to choose from (staff were great and offered a choice when we arrived). Lovely accessible toilet. Food wise, we were asked right away about
Absolute gem. Stayed overnight for work and so glad I booked here. The hospitality was great from the first interaction right through till I checked out. The room was decorated to a very high standard and was meticulously clean. The cherry on the cake to my stay was the food, which was amazing, I g
I stopped off here to eat and was in time for Sunday Roast. The Meal Absolutely 10/10 for the meal, never have I tasted such tender beef and just the right amount of fat, it was perfect. Staff I was greeted by a lovely young lady and they were all very pleasant but the lady seated me and offered m
Have visited this lovely hotel twice for lunch. On both occasions was very impressed by the professional and friendly service from Richard and each of his team . The place has a lovely warm, relaxed vibe. Tempting menu and the homemade truffle Mayonnaise offered to accompany our Chargrilled Hummus
Only went in for afternoon tea, but it's so good. Super dog friendly, gorgeous scones and sandwiches that are a meal in themselves. Well worth a visit.
What a beautiful find! Staff were so welcoming from the second we walked in and there was a good choices of drinks. Inside was cosy and dog friendly. The food was really nice, great choice and brilliant quality, it wasn't the cheapest place but was more than worth it. The views to the river outside
Attended the restaurant as part of a large group. The staff were so friendly and helpful. All the food was very good and service excellent. We didn't feel rushed at all and enjoyed our visit
Fabulous gem in Stirling countryside! Top marks for the warmth, hospitality and comfortable rooms of this establishment, not to mention an excellent breakfast! Love the refurbishment, stylish without being overdone, and excellent value for money. We'll be back!
Everything was spot on in the room, including the revamped bathroom. The breakfast was top notch and included haggis, which I love. The green tea was loose leaf, which is a real sign of quality in a hotel.
Room was cosy, not a lot of hanging space if you are staying for more than a couple of nights. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and good choice. Beautiful area to explore from.
On way home from Oban we popped into the Woodside for lunch. We haven't been here for a good few years and to see the transformation from previous visit was wonderful. Very tastefull upgrade, staff were delightful and very accommodating. We had a lovely lunch and even bought one baked cake and scone
What a gem, the food was delicious, brilliant selection of cocktails and the room was very comfortable, the staff were helpful and really friendly, would definitely recommend, 5 stars all the way
We stayed. We ate. We LOVED it. The rooms are brand new, immaculate, comfortable, pet friendly, and quiet. We loved the decor and the wallpaper. The showers were divine. And the food was superb. We loved the Sunday roast. Parking was ample and close. But the service was simply the best. Vickie was s
We came for dinner with our 3 year old and were very impressed! Service was professional and friendly, food is top quality pub food in a relaxed hotel setting. They had a separate gluten-free menu and vegetarian/vegan menu, which meant they dealt very well with my husband's gluten and dairy allergie
Staff were really great, lovely decor, but the place got EXTREMELY warm while we were there (and this was on a very cold day) and it took ages for the starters to come out. Thankfully the mains came out quickly once the starters were done.
Stopped off at the Woodside for full Scottish breakfast whilst visiting Doune Castle. Excellent and filling, the breakfast set us up for the day. We did not stay overnight in their overnight accommodation, but the rooms looked excellent value for the rates they charge.
We found The Woodside Pub & Restaurant on our last day here & wish we had found it on day one! Lovely venue, beautifully refurbished. We didn’t stay here but used the lovely restaurant. Food was excellent and as vegans we were really happy with the plant based options - several creative choices. To
