A rather dark gloomy pub with lots of dark wooden walls. However, the beer was excellent. I, a Welshman, was drinking a North Wales brew, Conwy Beachcomber, in Kent, South East England. Clearly the beer travelled well, better than I did ! 😄🍺😋
Very good food and cool environment. The ordering method might disturb you at first time, but it really works! Very nice variety of meals and beers.
Atmosphere is usually ok but depends on your tolerance levels. Afternoons after school can be a bit testing. And whilst most parents make sure their kids are under control there are always those that are only interested in the cheap booze 🫣

Nice and clean staff helpful food was good had a breakfast was cooked quiet well. When the food arrived it was warm so could have been warmed up before serving otherwise really good
After a nightsail from Oostende to Dover we where tired but very happy. The drinks and foods where splendid and we loved that there is no music so you can have a normal conversation. Next time in Dover i will look no further but go strait to The Eight Bells:)
