I spent 3 very relaxing nights at the The Red Lion.
The host Prathiba was naturally gracious with an infectious smile. The room was clean and set at the back of the property; which meant I had peaceful night's rest without the noise of traffic. One could tell there was attention to detail which help

Only bottled ale but always a friendly reception. Pool table and big garden. It's a working man's pub in the best sense.

Food is reasonably priced and good range of drinks.
They always have weekly events going on.
Not been here for food before and had heard about the new refurb/management so thought we would pop in and see whats changed from when we were last in (few yrs ago just for a drink then)

Since reopening mid-March, The red lion has had a fresh overhaul. As always the atmosphere is calm and relaxed with open fires in each bar, but the food is on a new level. Phil wild the chef , is a master! Take your partner down there,, rent one of the rooms for the night and you never know you migh

Enjoyed a couple of drinks here recently to try it out as I've just moved to the area. Will definitely visit again as they seem to have many events coming up. Nice local pub.
Great atmosphere with feally friendly staff and landlords. The chef is great as well.really good food but the portions are USA sized. Too much for me to finish.
