Review Toby Carvery Dronfield - Dronfield

Our third Toby Carvery visit! It seemed busy and we did have to wait a while to be seated (we had booked) then to order. I suspect it was either busier than expected or there was a shortage of staff. We had a meat free carvery and a standard carvery plus soft drinks. The beef was excellent as were the Yorkshire Puddings. The vegetables and potatoes were fine and everything was hot with a good selection available. The soft drinks seemed relatively dilute but that could just be how those machines dispense it. The toilets were clean and the venue was easy to find.

As always the food was delicious and latte too, however what made the visit was a worker called Amy could see that I was struggling to walk, I could of been bought in my wheelchair but I wanted to walk which I can but not for long, my partner was with me and he helped me walk to the table and that's when Amy noticed my struggle, God bless her she got a chair for me to lean on whilst at the servery getting our food, I could also use the chair as a frame as such, my partner took his plate to our table then come back for my plate, Amy come and got the chair, I couldn't thank her enough she was beyond and above and she's definitely a credit to Toby Carvery and I hope to see her again in the future, Amy darling if you read this, thank you so much and your AMAZING Ange & Andrew Xxx

Food was oh so good. Everything was cooked properly and was fresh and hot.

Massive portions. Good range of veggie options, I had the broccoli and brie parcel which was huge and delicious. My only criticism would be I would like more roasted veg (parsnips or carrots) but other than that no complaints. Staff were lovely. Will definitely go again 🙂

Decent food at a good price. Great service and atmosphere. Dessert dishes were especially tasty!

Toby carvery is excellent value for money good portions of meat and plenty of fresh vegetables and the gravy is really good plenty of accompanying sauce also 👌 situated on busy main road near a roundabout but loads of free parking and disabled parking spaces on line they have been doing some very good offers for o a ps etc which is excellent in this cost of living crisis the staff are very nice and couldn't be more helpful 😀went again this evening rain had come into part of the restaurant unfortunately the meal tonight wasn't up to tobys very high standards meat wasn't as good as usual 6 of us dined 3 they didn't charge us for I think it's just a blip caused by roof damage maybe close until its fixed who can say but I am confident the next time I go it will be back to being as delicious as it always as been popped into toby it was absolutely delicious had turkey carvery followed by yummy syrup pudding and custard my companions had delicious roast dinner followed by latte coffee really friendly helpful staff really a very pleasant evening 😋

Was busy and bustling as there was a deal on. Staff were calm collected and very happy although was busy times. Greeted with a big happy smile and a very polite friendly lady - didn’t get her name though - even though was busy we didn’t wait long for our table. Being seated was quick. Emma noticed me and my friend had come in so she came over for a quick chat- which I thought was very lovely as she’d remembered us. Ruth served us and had taken our drinks order and said we could make our way over to the carvery . Which we did . Service at the carvery station was quick and a young lad served us and was very polite and friendly / all the meats looked perfectly cooked and fresh - the vegetables bit was all full and veggies looked cooked and fresh - by the time we got back to our table our drinks were already there. Service all round was excellent and took no time at all. A very enjoyed visit as always. Thanks 😀

Our server Ruth gave the best table service we have had in a long time. She was very friendly, recommended dishes based on sizing suitable for a special needs member of our table. All staff were friendly but Ruth stood out and deserves recognition. The sizes and prices were reasonable and we had a lovely lunch.

The meet and greet from the staff was really nice and they were very friendly. When we went to get food i noticed that both the meat and vegetables were not piping hot but were warm. I didn't do or say anything at the time and after eating I did wish I had said something.

We came later on a thursday evening, had a lovely young woman called Ellie. She was amazing, incredibly polite and gave us great customer service and was very attentive. She also handled customers who were a bit rude really well and professionally. She seemed to be doing a lot more than some of the other staff so big thanks to her(: an amazing experience thanks to her
