Tidewater Grill

I have been visiting Tidewater Grill frequently since I moved to Potomac Shores two years ago. Good service is rare and it may be because I see new waitresses working all the time. Recently I noticed the menus are changing (for the better) and buffets offered every Friday evening. I used to order the same salad every time but now I'm starting to branch out. I have enjoyed all the new meals on the menu so far. My friends and I like to meet up there every week to sit outside, enjoy our drinks and food and listen to live music. Overall, I am happy with the recent changes and will go back every week with friends.

I had a lunch party of 11 and everything was amazing. We ate outside under the covered patio on a hot day but between the breeze and fans it was very comfortable and enjoyable. Food and drinks were delicious and our server Susan was great. If I’m in the area again I would definitely back!! We didn’t want to leave.

I read the reviews of the Tidewater Grill before deciding to try it and it seemed people either loved it or hated it. After going, there needs to be another category because the wife and I didn’t love it, but we thought it was really good. Now, in fairness, we did get a pizza and a burger, so that shouldn’t be too hard to not mess up, yet restaurants that specialize in those things seem to mess it up all the time! We went on Thursday evening because there is live music. I don’t know if the music is by the same artist every week or if it changes, but it was nice to sit outside, drink a beer, eat good food and listen to some music. My only complaint, like so many others who have reviewed the Tidewater Grill, is with the prices. They are on the high side for the type of food they offer. A pizza, burger, and two beers was $56.00 before tip. I don’t know if people from outside the Potomac Shores community frequent the restaurant, but if you are a resident or happen to be nearby, I’d recommend checking them out.
