Very nice tea room in Dundee. Sweet and small, decorated like a little tea room, the atmosphere and setting were idyllic. We arrived right before tea time with no reservations, so I was happy to get in. Our scones were delicious as was my English Breakfast served in fine china.
Definitely a cool tea room to stop in, was a little bummed no clotted cream but maybe that's a regional thing, the jams were yummy and full of fruit no sugar. Well done. In any respect, would definitely revisit and recommend.

I recently visited Dundee and popped into the Palais tea room for a hot chocolate. It was wonderful, washed down with some home baking. There is a 50’s vibe to the place and was pleased to see a picture of Johnny Cash scowling down at me. It feels like tea at your grannies!
If you are in Dundee and want refreshments with character I recommend the Palais.

Excellent sandwiches, cakes scones, and tea was lovely except with the unlimited tea they just repoured hot water over my original teabag so it was more like unlimited hot water???

On a two day visit to Dundee we went to the Palais Tea room and had a lovely lunch on the first day with sandwiches and tea for 4. Enjoyed the lovely little tea room so much that we went back today for coffee and fabulous cake. Lovely staff and atmosphere and would highly recommend. Thank you, definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Stopped for breakfast after visiting Dundee for a wedding. Cosy little tea room with a retro feel, all 60's tunes & floral patterned crockery. We both had the full cooked breakfast with a coffee & peppermint tea. Good value at £17.50 (which included 2 packs of tablet for the train ride). Lovely ingredients, well cooked with gorgeous toast on the side. Not huge portions so if you want a 'builders breakfast' probably better going elsewhere. Home-baked cakes & scones looked fantastic too. Highly recommended.

Booked morning tea for 10 of us and were not disappointed! Friendly staff, great service and everything tasted lovely . Thank you so much to The Palais for making my mum's Birthday such a nice treat and great value for money.

Lovely warm welcome in fabulous nostalgic surroundings. Our soup was just like home from home wholesome and heart warming. We loved our tea and scones too. A perfect ending for our visit to the V.A.

Tucked Down one of the side streets but easily found. The tea room is jammed with a whole load of vintage and retro items. Lovely menu with a great selection. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend the Victoria sponge

Great service, quirky vintage decor, proper china teapots and cups and saucers, shame no Dundee cake, but delicious alternatives!

Lovely cafe, quaint decor, great coffee and toast but somewhat watery scrambled egg. A good stop off if visiting the V&A

I really wanted to like this place, as the pictures looked amazing, but it was a huge letdown. The service and decor were decent and pleasant, but the food, which is, after all, the reason one goes out to eat, was disappointing at best.
My sister and friends and I came for afternoon tea and lunch. The tea itself was decent, but the sandwiches, scones, and cakes were practically inedible. The cakes were dry and plastic tasting, the sandwiches desperately needed some kind of sauce, as they were completely dry and flavorless (although one of us had the tuna, and that was quite good), and the scones were mediocre in and of themselves, but made unpleasant by the fact that 1) they were already cut, spread, and sandwiched back together, making the whole a prearranged decision 2) instead of clotted cream there was some sort of lacklustre whipped topping 3) there wasn't nearly enough jam, and 4) the proportions were completely off. The lunch itself (a sandwich and soup), were mediocre, and hardly better than something one could pick up at Tesco. We all agreed we would never care to come again.
