Amazing customer service, the owners were friendly and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious, highly recommend the big breaky! Great sized portions and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Great place to eat or have coffee! The food is delicious and the staff is super nice! Everything is homemade and served with a big smile! :-) If you're having a break in Portobello, I totally recommend this place.

Great, delicious food and very generous portions - great value. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location is also wonderful and has a nice view of the harbour. We look forward to returning next time we're in Dunedin.

Coffee was fresh and hot. Food is simple and very well done. You don't have a hundred options, the staff are real people. There is a cupboard full of toys for the kids and a high chair. We loved it. Thanks Penguin Cafe.

Outstanding! Absolutely wonderful food. I had the fish pie, it was super tasty and wholesome. The potato bake as a side dish was excellent with other grilled vegetables in top. Can't wait to come back and the other dishes on the menu.
