The service was friendly, followed by a great meal. The calamari and scampi were both tasty and great portions. Planty of drinks to choose from, sadly they run out of the homemade apple tart by the timeIwas to order some.
We went to the Britannia with an open mind after reading both good and bad reviews.
Our experience left nothing to complain about. Beer and wine were both excellent. After a relaxing drink we ordered food and the cod and chips was very good. Chips cooked perfectly. Staff were pleasant and efficient.
Fish and chips were superb. Lovely crispy thin batter, covering a good size portion of fresh cod. Delicious! Tried the chilled Spitfire lager, which is perfect on a warm day!
Nice and crispy fish and chips ....only miss was the grilled fish ...I was expecting grilled on hot coal fire ..but felt like it was done over a little bit with flame torch....
This is the only Pub on the shingle beach and well worth the visit. The squat building designed to deal with the weather when it's bad. There is adequate car parking and we entered through the shop. A warm and efficient, welcome. Prices are reasonable, local Ale which is well kept and served, good c
They serve brilliant cod and chips, and have broader menu too.
Mad pub at the tip of Dungerness. Range of Shepherds Neame beers. Great big fish and chips. Fast service. Sit outside and admire the nuclear power station!
Both my kids really enjoyed the scampi and chips here and ate loads. Large portion sizes - the picture is of small cod! Served quickly. Also have Shepherd Neame beer. Not fancy but traditional (mayonnaise in plastic sachets). Certainly a destination for lots of the customers.
What a lovely pub, the food was of an excellent standard good size helpings too, we both had fish, chips and peas and all for a reasonable price. The staff were attentive and polite. We would highly recommend a visit.
Stopped for fish & chips & cappuccino on a very blustery day. Staff very friendly. Fires were on so felt very cosy.
Ice creams near the beach. Vegan strawberry ice cream for the dairy free among you. Salted caramel in a cone was great. Service for ice cream was friendly. Water was very expensive £2.50 a bottle. Otherwise good. Sat outside on picnic benches. Parking outside.
We had a most enjoyable meal and the service was prompt. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and nicely presented.
We hope to visit there the next time we are in the area.
Very tasty food, nice staff. Location is unique being in Dungeness not everyone's choice but perfect if you love the outdoors
Very good fish and chips, lovely fresh salad, large portions, gorgeous ice cream. Staff very friendly and attentive. Dog friendly. Apparently Ed Sheeran has bought a house nearby so you may even bump into him in the Britannia!
We haven't yet had a meal there, but the menu looks appetising. We usually go to the Britannia after a lunch and a walk around Dungeness and will stop at the Britannia for some of their delicious ice creams. We'll worth the walk
We took a ride on th Romney Hythe and Dymchurch minature railway. We went for a short walk to experience the inn. We were not disappointed. We had the haddock and chips. I had salad, my partner peas. Delicious. Crispy golden chips. Light crispy batter on fresh tasty fish. Served on a fish shape
Great pub at Dungeness !!! We stopped in for a pint at get end of the railway and outside they have 20 or so picnic tables.
You go to window one and order and if you get drinks you pay a £1 deposit on the plastic cups but that’s fair and when I returned them was given the deposit back in cash with
