We had our wedding reception at this pub and we absolutely loved it. From the start Emily and the staff were so helpful and could not do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. On the day, the place looked stunning and the food was amazing. Everything fell into place perfectly. So many people have commented on how nice a venue we had picked.
We have been here for a few meals since we discovered this pub a few months ago and have never been disappointed. We have taken other people and they have said how much they enjoy the food and you cannot fault the service.
I would recommend The White Lion and have given it a 5 ☆ review.

Visiting Dunstable for a concert we called in to the White Lion at 6.00 pm for food. Despite having 3 parties and other pre-booked tables the manageress found time to accommodate us. Although we just had mains the food was well cooked, well presented and plentiful. Staff were friendly and showed a good knowledge of their menu in offering advice on gluten free options to other customers. If this pub was in our area we would be regulars!
We found this restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed. It was well presented, and we were greeted by friendly staff. The menu raised our expectations and I when the food arrived and we tasted it, I was blown away at how fresh and yummy it was. The staff continued to be attentive and the whole experience was so enjoyable. I never tip unless I have to (USA/London), but I couldn't help but tip. Our plates were cleaned and our bellies full. We will definitely be back!
We celebrated my mum's 80th birthday last night. ...all I can say is thank you so much to all the staff.....so helpful right from the start to the finish. ..the area was set up lovely the buffet was presented well and everyone had a brilliant time. ....we will be happy to recommend you to all our friends. ...well done all of you
Arrived for lunch and was presented with a menu which had lots of choice. I chose the fish and chips - wow enormous fish and the chips were chunky and crispy - Just how I like them. Didn't eat for the rest of the day was so full up. Really good value and served by a very nice polite girl. Would recommend and will come back again.
The really friendly, helpful staff took us in (18 of us!) at very short notice when we were let down by our original venue. A nice relaxed late lunch followed, with good food and attentive (but not intrusive) service.
As always it was a fab evening out & even better that it was a family meal for my lovely wife's birthday. I love service & the food is great & always served with a smile & nice to see we had the lovely Gemma serving us again ! #keepupthegoodwork.
We have used the White Lion for a number of milestone celebrations, and are always sure of getting really good food, with good service from a welcoming staff. Would always recommend it.
14 of us went, staff were pleasant and attentive, limited menu but the food was very good and we all enjoyed ourselves.

I do have to add that last Sunday I popped down for some lunch and met some of the football team and wow! what a lovely bunch they are. They was all polite and can see why they are chosen to represent the pub.
We went as a family of 12 and had such a lovely time. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing and the staff are very attentive. Would highly recommend for a family gathering. We will definitely be returning. Thank you

The staff are wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. It was my sisters birthday on 26/7 and they put balloons and confetti on the table, in my opinion they went over and above of what we expected.
The food is good , served promptly and really reasonably priced.
The place is clean ,it’s so cared for and looked after with so many thoughtful little touches to make it nice and welcoming , even down to nappies and wipes in the baby changing room, the decoration is lovely and overall just a really nice place to visit.
The staff really are an a asset , they were so attentive and friendly. We will defo go back!

First time visiting, such a lovely atmosphere and environment.
The staff were so lovely! Food was outstanding, I really don't have a bad word to say.
Even more impressed when the lovely waitress found out the recipe for something I really enjoyed for me.
An excellent gin selection, and well stocked bar also helped wash down our already lovely meal!
I would definitely recommend the Meatballs to start in a mushroom sauce, and I couldn't get enough of the Scallops with beautiful (and purple!) Tuffel potatoes!

Would definitely recommend dropping in here for a but of lovely food and drink. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Have had several different meals from the menu and all have been really lovely. Prices are very reasonable too.
I would 100% recommend the white lion pub for all events or just for a general dinner out. The owners Lydia and Gaz was very welcoming to me and my partner and made us feel at home. There was a variety of food to choose from all nutritional and catered for all needs.. couldn’t recommend it more will definitely be going back!
Visited white lion yesterday for the 3rd time this month and unfortunately the food was very slow but they was very busy & we was told on arrival food was a minimum half an hour wait.
We waited 45 minutes but the landlady gave us a round of drinks as an apology and I saw her doing this to lots of other tables.
I have never had a bad meal or experience here. And the atmosphere was brilliant. 2 live singers, free bouncy castle & facepainting.
The kitchen obviously wasn't up to scratch yesterday but the service was second to none. My son had a great time too!

Opted for soup of the day (potato and leek) and tuna steak for the main. Lots of space for large groups. Recommended. (PS. Don't forget to record your car registration if using their car park).

Visited "The White Lion" yesterday for the first time and waited about an hour for our food order. Was advised upon ordering the service was unavoidably a tad slow. The atmosphere was great so was not a problem. We were supposed to leave after the first entertainer but we stayed to watch the second one. Our party of 15 were all pleased with our meals and will all certainly return. A great asset to Dunstable.
Booked a birthday meal with family the staff had decorated the table and area with decorations we had dropped down it looked so lovely nothing was to much trouble for the staff , food was lovely and all the meals came out at the same time which I liked so we all ate together .
We have already booked for the next birthday with family .
What a fantastic family and dog friendly pub. We popped in and was surprised at how much was going on lots of free things for the children to do. Great customer service and was very helpful with our fussy children food requests. Looking forward to coming back again.
It has been newly taken over by different people and since that transition this place is amazing.
