Review Jann's Cake Shop - Dunvegan

Delicious hand made cakes, tarts and pies. The store has restricted business hours, definitely check the days and good before you stop. We enjoyed the Bakewell tart (most delicious I've ever had) with hand whipped cream. It's run by a cute couple, eating in is not an option. This is a must stop on your way to Dunvegan , Neist Point or Coral beach.

Amazing massive cakes and chocolates! Loved the vibe as soon as we got in, including the Caribbean music 😍 and very important: NO ICING! Yaaay We’re planning to go back for chowder and more cakes while we’re on the Isle. Luckily, we found this gem early on in our trip!

Run by a lovely pair who clearly pour love and care into their hand-made cakes. I recommend stopping by here for some of their delicious cakes. They had a brilliant selection, with organic options too. The price reflects the quality, so dont let that put you off. The cherry bakewell tart was awesome! Brillaint bakery, would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Came to this town during winter and unfortunately most shops were closed except Jann’s Cakes. We got a pie as well as a toastie, and it was real good! Service was also so pleasant and kind, and we’re glad we got to try some small bites from this town.

Spent a week earlier this year exploring Skye and other areas of Scotland. The sandwich and cake I got from here was the best food I'd had the whole trip, it could probably be the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I live far away from Skye but If I ever return I'd make the effort to come back to this place, the owners were also lovely.

Super warm and friendly people, delicious HUGE cakes and what a selection of cakes, chocolates and tasty food! Hard to choose! Even had freshly whipped cream to go with the slice of bramwell and an amazing Belgian chocolate muffin! Thank you!!

Cakes are DELICIOUS! Slices are huge and they’re well worth the money! Both people running the shop were also lovely! 10/10 would recommend.

The cakes here are absolutely amazing, so hard to choose which to get! The truffles and chocolates lol so good too, and the home-cooked food also smelled great! Such friendly owners as well - yes the cakes aren't cheap but the portions are huge! We ended up eating it in two sittings

Jann's Cakes is a business run with love and passion! The cakes, fudges and chocolates are homemade and served with love and a fruity suprise. The prices may be a little higher than one is used to, but the quality of the food and the warmth of Jann and her elderley staff member ensure the price is more than worth it. It was a great trip and should be recommended to anyone in the area.

Such a big selection of amazing cakes and they taste really good and the mocha and latte is really good aswell. I went with the chocolate fruit cake with Jamaican Rum 😍Well worth a visit

Forget about Dunvegan Castle, Jann's Cakes is why you should visit Dunvegan. The place is tiny but clearly full of love and very delicious food. We came here for a nice slice of cake and we were not disappointed. Yes, the slices may seem a bit more on the expensive side but you get a piece so big that you might as well have it instead of a normal lunch. Also, you don't just get a slice. It's also nicely decorated with some fruits (strawberries and blackberries), some sauce and whipped cream (if you asked for that). I also had a taste of one of the truffels and it was one of the best truffels I've ever tasted. We took 2 pieces of fudge with us to go and they too taste magnificent. I'll definitely be returning here one day. Honestly, the worst thing about this place is that you can't taste everything. Except maybe if you stay there a few days and have enough money to spend. So Jann, thank you for baking those delicious treats.

What a truly wonderful cake shop! Jan is an amazing baker - her cakes and pastries are to die for. What I call truly home made - with love and passion. Totally genuine and unpretentious - they are beyond good. That something extra makes them a joy to eat. I consider myself a pretty good baker but I’m not in the same league! Great coffee too - plus Jan and Lewis were just the loveliest people. I actually lay in my bed last night thinking about their goodies. ( I know…!!)

What a hidden gem! Sure it's not cheap, and nor is it super fast service, but it is well worth it! The man and lady who work there are just lovely and the cakes we treated ourselves to were out of this world!!! The coffee was lovely too.

Dropped by here on our way to Neist House and did not regret it at all. A lovely place with a wide range of cakes and sweets that will satisfy your need. The man who works here is very sweet and lovely, though you will have to spare some time to wait to be served! However, it’s all worth it. Would give a 75/100 for their bakewell!

Wonderful and delicious cakes! You can eat 2 or 3 times from one piece. A lot of variety and freshly baked. Lovely owners, we had a nice chat with them as well whilst we were trying to choose what we´d order.

The lady that served us today was very friendly. Yes it is expensive but it is worth every penny for high quality organic cakes that are brought for a treat. Myself and my lady bought this large muffin, huge rocky road and the best brownie we have ever had. Recommended the brownie with the double cream. :) 🍰🧁

The cakes are good and made with love, for my taste a tad too sweet. I took cookies from the roadshelf in Geary and they tasted like the plasticbags they where stored in. I would recommend to change the cookies after some days. I had to throw them away because they litteraly tasted like plastic. Goodbay to the 6 Pounds!

Very cute shop which serves delicious sweet, I had the Belgian hot cocoa as well as some fudge, and both were delicious! Also the couple who run it are lovely!
