This tea house probably is the most classical designed British tea place you could find in Durham. They have good amount of options for teas, and very nice desserts. Excellent experience! Delicious food and cake, very nice and enthusiastic staff! We have a very perfect afternoon tea! I will recommend chocolate mint and chai. They are impressively tasty. I am so lucky that I can meet such a nice people before I leave Durham.
If you love homemade cake, you MUST visit this place. The Mars Bar Cookie pie is THE most delicious chocolate experience that I have ever had! There is a wonderful variety on the menu, and you are totally spoilt for choice.

What a lovely cafe! Beautiful interior design and friendly, lovely staff. I loved the fact the staff didn't interrupt us to ask us if we want anything else (in other words, to tell us to order something else or we have to leave). The coffee and scone were delicious, I would recommend 100%!
Lovely selection of teas, we had two pots of vanilla Earl Grey home blend, mild and nice without milk. Victoria sponge and a cheese scone were fresh and tasty. All served in interesting china. Ladies serving were attentive and there was a friendly chatty atmosphere.
