The Capital - Durham - Photo album

Best in Durham. Excellent. Prices of side dishes are high but mains reasonable. Food is absolutely elite, always excellent and often fabulous. Pleasant vibe and staff. Change of management but remains great!
Nice restaurant. Large amount of choices on menu. Service was very good and food was excellent. Would go again, if I'm in Durham.
Fantastic food, full of flavour! Service was great too and they brought out a cake we provided with birthday music for our friend's birthday!
An excellent curry. But not cheap. £14 just for the meat dish. £4.50 for a rice. £4 for a bread. £7 a pint for cobra. Food won't disappoint but there are certainly cheaper options.
What a great place, food and service were fantastic, I had meat samosa for start and for main we had butter chicken and balti garlic chicken both were excellent and the service all the staff so attentive, a little pricey both worth it
Visited on a Thursday at 830pm, and the restaurant was quite quiet. Ordered Cobra to drink, which was lovely and cold and came in large bottles. Food was delicious, and I'd highly recommend the place. I had a tikka chicken chilli balti, which was one of the best I've tasted. Service was great.
Excellent food and service. A bit more costly than I am accustomed to in South Yorkshire, expect £25-35 per person with a drink or two. But, Well worth it.
Had takeaway - the food was very good. Will try the restaurant next time
An excellent meal with friendly staff and great service. The meat in my lamb bhuna was really good quality, my friend had a vegetarian curry. The staff said they can make anything on the menu vegetarian, they do themselves a disservice by not advertising this on the menu! A limited beer selection bu
Absolutely delicious, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever had. Large portions, excellently flavoured and balanced. Demolished the starter and cannot wait for the main course. Could not recommend more!!!!
It's was a busy Wednesday night in The Capital when I and three others decided only a curry would do. Service was good, quick and friendly, the restaurant continued to fill but food served fairly swiftly. I had the garlic Balti, I did ask for it Madras hot, that was obviously absent from the final
First visit yesterday. Fantastic food. Great service. Everyone was very friendly, taking time to explaining the dishes and helping us to choose from the menu. Good wine menu too. Look forward to next visit.
Food was fantastic. Service was impeccable. The dining area was well designed and upscale. Prices were reasonable for such an establishment. The only reason I give it four stars is because I felt the server taking our order was offering us a starter that was complimentary but when checking out, we
Very accommodating, we called in without a reservation and after a short wait at the bar were given a table. We did wait a long time after ordering for the food to be brought out . Really tasty lamb dishes, fantastic naan breads and good portion sizes, but not cheap. Was around £7 for a pint of lage
