Love Costa, the toasties are great, I love the hot chocolates, especially the Christmas ones. They do nice teas and latte's too. They also have some nice sweet treats. In the summer my favourite drink was the watermelon and coconut cooler, it was heavenly! 😋
Friendly staff, clean cafe, handy location for the city centre, plenty of seating available. Quality of coffee was good.

A friendly Costa in a central location in the heart of Durham. Not much else I can say, but the staff were friendly and the fodder was as usual.
The only downside is the place could probably do with a refresh or at least some new furniture.

I went into this Costa to escape the oppressive heat of the independent coffee shops I usually prefer. And I’ll be back! The staff were the most friendly I’ve met in any Costa, they even bring ones heated meals to one’s table. Never happens down south! Plus it’s clean, wasp free, cool, fresh food, a winner all round with outside seating if wanted.
Good food and drinks at a decent price. Only spare table was next to the toilet door and it opens onto the back of one of our chairs.
Lovely staff here. Even though other Costa staff are great this branch gave excellent service and was very friendly. After our sandwiches we had three portions of the gingerbread wreath cake which was really tasty. Thank you 🙂
Coffee always good and staff always very pleasant
If you regularly go to Costa Coffee then you'll know exactly what to expect from this one. If has the standard Costa menu and decor. It is always comfortable and clean, although when busy it may take a little time for the tables to be cleared. The staff are always absolutely lovely - they know the names and drinks of choice for most of the regulars and always ask how you are. The only real problem that lets them down is that there is only one toilet, so at peak times you will always have to queue.
