Enjoyed the best ever Irish food and drinks tonight. The 2 of us ordered Bangers and Mash with Guinness Gravy and the Sea Dog. The Sea Dog is a hot dog size fish sandwich with homemade tartar sauce and cole slaw. The fries were fresh and crunchy - (not at all soggy as another reviewer had falsely claimed) which came with the Sea Dog were drizzled with fresh garlic and parsley. Yummy! The Bangers and Mash were also delicious! For dessert we shared their Rasberry Donut Crumbles cheesecake! Service was fast too.. Definitely will be back!

EDIT: Decided to give this place another shot in-person and there were ROACHES EVERYWHERE. Flying all over the patio seating. Landing on people and crawling up the seats. The inside of the restaurant didn’t look any cleaner than the roach infested patio. Never ever ever coming back here. ORIGINAL: Ordered delivery, food was not good. Definitely not worth the money. Fries were soggy and undercooked. Burger bun was soggy and burger patty was overdone. Slice of key lime pie was TINY much smaller than a normal slice of pie and tasted terrible. I really couldn’t find anything redeemable about this place.

I've liked the bar's vibe for a while, but I've never had great service, and yesterday I had a really weird negative experience that will keep me from ever returning. I waited over 10 minutes to close a tab, but was the only person standing at the bar. Both bartenders were hanging out with friends seated at tables, and would tell me to wait when I would ask them if I could close out. One of the bartenders was clearly pretty drunk. After I gave them my card, they ran it, then walked off to keep hanging out with friends seated nearby and left my receipt dangling for several more minutes until I walked over and asked them to pass it to me so I could sign it. Again, not a big deal; just sloppy, and a continued waste of my time instead of realizing that they had a customer service issue to correct. So I tipped accordingly - I ordered two drinks, so I tipped $2. I just checked my credit card account, and the bartenders fraudulently increased my tip by 300%. $6 is no big deal. But after strikingly bad service and light fraud, I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. I recommend you do the same - unless you're a regular or a friend of the bartender, as these folks seem to get *great* service.

The food here is really good! We weren't expecting much from a bar, but it was great. The best fish and chips we've had in awhile. The curry was also great, next time I'll try the curry on fries instead of mashed potatoes. The bartender was working real hard as there was no one else to take orders or make drinks.

Absolutely incredible. Restorative. Where else can you go to have glorious food and drink, jokes with the staff, and a dance with your old man out back? This is a beautiful, magnificent beast of a night spot. James Joyce, you are my Winchester.

Ordered food online, but when arrived for pickup was told they didn’t receive my order due internet connections.. but they were glad to work on it and gave the two of us a complimentary drink. So all is good! I would definitely go back again

Had a great night at the James Joyce Irish Pub. The Fish and Chips was delicious, and the staff were amazing. Treated us so well and were fun to interact with. Great little Irish pub. Definitely will be back.
