I love Indian food and have been wanting to try this place for the longest! My friend recently treated me to dinner here, and I loved it! He got food from their buffet, which I didn't feel comfortable with given that we're still in a pandemic so I opted to order from the menu. I've also never really been fond of buffets. I ordered the fish malabar, which was SPECTACULAR! It was a lot of food so I only ate half of it and finished the rest the next day for lunch. They have many options to choose from, and you can always stick with what they have at the buffet. My friend really liked it. This is the perfect place for a date night or to enjoy quality time with friends. They have ample parking, a nice view from the window where we sat, and they sometimes have live music, which we will likely go back for. The staff were kind, and their food is reasonably-priced. This is the best Indian food I've had in the Triangle area so I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it!

My husband and I recently relocated to the Raleigh/Durham area and were looking for a restaurant to make our regular and we found it. This place is AWESOME! Tasty food, friendly and professional staff, great atmosphere and they have a buffet. We ordered both to go and tried the buffet, and both were delicious. I really like their dosa, tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala. The buffet was fresh and had many choices. I definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be back again soon!

In town visiting for work. Was pleasantly surprised on a lunch break to find this gem. I had read previous reviews about blandness and really couldn’t disagree more. Plenty of spice and flavor profiles seasoned just right. Now was it hot no but they had sauces and options to add heat as needed. The atmosphere both on the outside and inside were pleasant and well decorated. There was plenty of indoor seating and the patio looks like it was just renovated with good landscaping as well. Food wise I was impressed with everything I ate minus maybe the dessert the rice pudding isn’t really my thing but it was just ok. The tandoori, the chana, and chicken korma was the groups favorites. Would definitely come back! Cheers!!

Very good.. I went for the lunch buffet. They had rices, different flavored chicken or fish, mixed vegetables, cooked potatoes in vegetables, fried vegetables, naan bread, salad, rice pudding and different sauces to add if you like. That doesn't sound like much for a buffet but I think it was perfect and all of the dishes were delicious. The chicken meat was white meat chunks of great quality. I agree that the spice level was just right, not to hot but a warm spice that lasts. If you like hotter they had hot sauces to add. I also had sweet tea and water both of which tasted clean and refreshing. I am very glad that they have a lunch buffet and more so that it includes high quality chicken meat dishes. I recommend this restaurant.

The people are very kind and if you've never been before they will guide you in what you can eat and explain everything for you..as for myself I let them pick the style of the meats I chose for me and my daughter, and it was delicious. First impression was a great one. Loved the food flavors and color's. And the kindness of the people waitress and Manger that helped me choose what to eat. All in all I would definitely recommend this place. And buffet is on weekends. I believe Friday Saturday and Sunday better prices during that time.

The quality of food is not good at all. We ordered Sitar special with expectation to be the best of their dishes. We get paneer with watery sauce and extra food color. After dinner, I end up washing my hands three times and still unable to get ride of food color. I hope the owner pays more attention to the quality.

I've lived in a number of cities over the years and I've traveled to every State but Alaska and I feel I have a good range of experiences with restaurants, Indian included.
I've enjoyed a bunch of Indian restaurants in the Triangle yet they all must be compared to Sitar for them to make the grade. I've set the bar at Sitar which is a great designation in my book.
I'd say Sitar always allows me to explore new dishes and set new standards. My suggestion: Test out Sitar and make a list of what you like. Then try those same dishes at other restaurants. See who wins!
For me, in nearly every case, it's Sitar for the win.

NOT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD!!!! I went here for the buffet twice. Both times, the food barely had any flavor and all of the curries tasted the same. The food WAS NOT fresh. The vibe of this place is dingy and dark. I lived in India for two years and know the real taste of Indian food. Of course if anyone wants bland "Americanized" Indian food, you can come here. IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
